I have noticed that Global Underground 2 is never available in the linear notes of any of their latest CDs. This peaked my curiousity so I went to check the website. To no avail, I could not find it in the buy sections. Does anyone have any information on this mix at all?

The series's releasing in the US thru Thrive records has Paul Oakenfold's New York GU as the 2nd in the installment......althou the UK Boxed only versions there was never a number 2.

Weird.....thou I could be wrong.

The US based one has Paul Oakenfold as 2. It's really screwed up. GU006 UK = GU001 US, 007 = 002, 009 = 003, 010 = 004 (skipping over GU008 Nick Warren).

IIRC, Boxed used the catalogue number GU002 as either the cassette version of GU001, or on a T-Shirt, or something ridiculous like that. So, they set the next as GU003.

Wow! Thanks for clearing that up you too. That is some weird shit. Looks like my obsessive compulsive nature is going to have to throw out all my Global Underground CDs and vinyls now because it will never be a perfect matching set. Okay. . . maybe that is a little irrational. Those crazy Brits!

There is no GU 002. I have heard many things, one of them being that it was actually a t-shirt that came out way back when. I don't know but if you ever visit the global underground website, people get real pissy about this question and everytime the answer is 'there is no 002.'

added: 'this is regarding only the UK versions, not the Thrive releases'
