![]() | This was almost utter crap
I don't know where you heard good mixing but please let me know b/c what I heard was crap. The first 3 songs were a joke and I had to turn off the radio before I threw up... The only good songs played were of course Meat Katie Vs. Elite Force - "Toba (Air Your Demons Mix)" - (Kingsize) which is being promoed at the moment (I think) and.. Junkie XL - "Bon Voyage" - (Manifesto) which is 2 years old but still a dope tune. This definatly wouldn't make me want to go see them live at their residency, you would think they would have played better music and mixed better. Oh Well.... |

Damn...you couldn't be farther off the mark kid! Funny how you had to turn the radio off after the first 3 songs yet you still know the track selection. I haven't gotten a chance to listen to the set yet but I can already tell you right now you have no idea what you are talking about. This cats are some of the tightest DJs I've heard in town....flawless mixing and tracks that are way cutting edge. Betta check yo self fool! Oh and by the way, where do you have a residency? hmmmm, and last time I checked I'm pretty sure you've never played EDGE club. I'd keep your mouth shut and bring your skills to the battle if you think you can hang - jv -

ok, Did you listen to the set. If you did you would know that A. the mixing was nowhere near flawless, you've gotta be fuckin joking me... thats not flawless or in other words we would like to call it PERFECT and I can tell you that wasn't near perfect... AND B. Those first three songs had the shittiest vocals I have ever heard and like I said I had to turn the radio off before any more torture ensued..... but its nice to see someone stand up for these guys... its about time, I know that they can be good they can spin good music but this set was a joke... as for the mixing the first two were crap and I expect the last ones were as well.... I give a 2 / 10 (only two good songs) Nuff said... |

yes I believe it is....they also got it recorded on the mini disc.... i'm sure you will be sorted out with a copy. =) and kevin....always haters in this scene... anyone who knows Granite & Yorek- they know that they have topnotch tracks, and mix flawlessly....no one is perfect, but that set on edgeclub was DAMN near it! oi!

![]() | yes please
I am not saying the mixing was complete shit or anything, but it wasn't flawless. The first mixed slipped a bit and was easily noticeable and the second mixed slipped for quite some time.. and was very obvious...

"Yes Please"? I know you aren't asking for a copy of that disc!!!!! I'm sure you already have enough of your own FLAWLESS mix CDs to listen to. Being a hater will get you no where in this scene....hmmmm, guess that's why I've never heard of you. Let us know when you will be opening for Sander Klinenberg, Jimmy Van M, or Lee Burridge and we'll make sure to come check out your damn near sasha-type mixing skills. If you want people to take you seriously, try offering constructive feedback next time you have something to say. - jv -

![]() | sasha is flawless
now sasha, you can say he mixes flawless b/c guess what... HE DOES, but granite and yorek don't or atleast they didn't for this little mix I have only heard them mix once and it made for a bad first impression... maybe one day they will redeem themselves if I go see them live some time or they play on edgeclub again... and I am not a "hater" , I don't hate them I just didn't think there mixing was flawless and I didn't like their song selection... I listen to many a genre but this mix didn't appeal to me at all. |

| alright already!
I happen to know ErickP and Larry 'Grabit' Grante, and I have to say i am leaning more towards erickP's take on the mix. After the first few tracks I thought i was on the wrong station. When i've been over to larry's he always brings the progressive sickness, but after the first few tracks the sickness was in my stomach. As far as I know, this set was not a representation of the Granite & Yorek I know and love. But hey, EDGEClub is a tough gig, I couldn't do any better. Much respect to Grabit & Yankit. Hope to hear some great tunes pumpin out of the studio soon. ps - the mixing was not flawless. sorry guys. |
