Alright, Hawk and I were talking, and decided that all of us dravers who spin should all get together sometime and spin, so that we can get constructive criticism from a lot of different perspectives. We can help each other out, get tips and hints and such. Not to mention, should be fun. We figured Hawk's would be a good place to do it, since he's got a studio and everything, and it's out in the boons so we wouldn't bother anyone. Just let us know when would be good with you guys, cause I mean, I don't have a job, so I could care less. If you're down, you can either reply here or e-mail Hawk or myself at hawkbrand@hotmail.com or syrupninja@aol.com.

oh, I'm totally down for this, but I don't see a point in it... It will end up having a whole bunch of people get upset, and not tell anyone cuz, well you can't, cuz, well you came there for criticism...etc

I think people will end up getting up mad too. I think constructive critism is good but i think it will be somewhat biased?~!

I think this is good only if people had a chance to introduce themselves and get to know one another........its sort of weird for people you dont know to stand there say stuff that may be taken to harshly........I for one am up for criticism..but I would want people telling me shit to know what the fuck they were talking about.......

That's why we want all the people who can, to make it. That way we don't get a lot of different perspectives, and try to keep it as unbiased as possible. If anyone can't handle it, they should stay home. I for one, wanna know what I can be doing to make myself better.

If I do somethig that I thought was right, and somebody tells me that it was wrong, and everyone else in the room says I don't know or I don't care...I'm gonna say OK and take it. But Trust me I'm not going to be happy.. And since I don't (or rather can't) show it.. This would pretty much force me to "pretty much", lie to my friends

It might not help your mixing skills but it might help you get vinyl

.....and when you say getting together how long would this session last......in other words I'm assuming a few heads would show up and depending on styles things could go on for a bit....

Im definately down for spinning with some people. I dont think anyone would get mad. As long as its CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. Ill just get upset, cuz im sure you all have some vinyl i want that i cant find/afford. That always bugs me. Just lemme know when you all wanna spin. Peace

This is a great idea for you guys who are "newbies"!

My hubby spins with more experienced Dj's at home, and that is how he gets beter!

You can only learn and grow if you all get together and practice your butts off! Everyone can teach someone something!

I would join you... but I suck! I need to learn phrasing so I can stop trainwrecking.
