| Help w/ Soundforge
Someone posted not to long about tracking with soundforge. I have tried using CD Architect but my burner doesn't accept the commands. If anyone could help I would appreciate it. I'll even give you a copy of the CD i just made. Peace |

Well if you're talking about tracking a mix, you have to break your big file into a bunch of smaller files & then use your CD burning software. To track it: Move the cursor to the beginning points of each track you want within the mix & hit 'M' to drop a marker. Repeat until you've been thru the whole thing. After that, need to select each region within the markers & paste them as a new file. to do this: you hold [ctrl] [shift] [left/right arrows] to select, [ctrl] [c] to copy, & [ctrl] [e] for paste to new. Save each file as "Filename-Track-01" etc. Make sure your CD burning software also has Disc-at-Once settings, otherwise you'll get a 2 second gab between your tracks.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME cutting and pasting... soundforge has a MUCH better way: When you've got your file: -Special menu / Regions list / clear -Place markings at the track breaks by positioning the cursor at the appropriate place and pressing M [remember to Mark the beginning and end of the CD too! Important!] -Special menu / Regions list / Markers to regions -Tools / extract regions This will save all the regions to separate files, and it only takes about 2 minutes to save, but cutting and pasting will take FOREVER!!! I've done it so many times the cutNpaste way. This way is much faster -G. |
