How does a STANTON SK-6F compare to a VESTAX PMC-05PRO?

How does a STANTON SK-6F compare to a VESTAX PMC-05PRO?

I've used the VESTAX 05, 06, 07......any turntablists put some hours on a STANTON Scratch Mixer?

Thanks

hey jay,

i use to have a stanton sk2f. it worked great with a smooth-as-butter fader. only complaint with stanton mixers is that the EQ knobs are a bit tight, but with some ghetto-rigging i'm sure you can make them work just fine.

don't mess with stanton

unless you get the new ones. the sound quality on the older stantons aren't very good, and quality overall really wasn't put into their products. the new sa 8 and sa 12(i think, the craze one), sound quality is improved and they also have p&g faders which are the dopest things on the market. vestax are cool, i have an 06, honestly rane are the best mixers to me. i also have a ttm52, but if you are looking for a mixer the only ones i would consider is a rane ttm56 or a vestax 07 with a p&g fader. peace.

I am currently using the new RANE TTM56....I own two of the 05pro's from vestax and have never had any problems. In our studio we use the Pioneer DJM600......We have several mixers that we use for different applications.....Depends on what you are trying to acomplish and what your needs are. In the past vestax 05pro was the standard for turntablist and hip hop DJ's......Now it seems times have changed , and I have had the experience on both mixers and the RANE TTM series are definitely the best.

The PMC 05 has been out for over tens years and there's a reason why others copied the design. All analog too.

If you can't battle on a 05 then just can't battle!

I have a STANTON SK2F it is my 1st mixer and I would not recomend any purchase of any stanton products. I do not prefer there quality and am forever repeled by there company name.

I've had my mixer for a little less than 2 years and have had problems with the sound quality for around a year, I finally opened it up and found a losely connected wire as the source of the problem.

around the 1st month of use I noticed a humming from the right channel, upon inspection of the ground connection I found that the the part that you "screw down" had stripped out.(this really pissed me off because I handle all of things like they are a newbord child) this was easily fixed by connecting the ground to the other connecter, however it still makes me fell that I got hosed.

also sence you do do mixer repairs You still might want to look into stanton, atleast you'll get lots of practice out of it.

Hmm....this is the first time I've ever heard bad responses on Stanton products. Personally, I would highly recommend both Stanton & Vestax (same company). We used a Stanton @ Firestone for several years...no problems.

pfft, whaa, same company?
get off the squeezetube. vestax used to be distributed by stanton in the late 80's early 90's but thats about how far that went. they have long since parted.
stanton never even made mixers before their distribution thing with vestax.
