the reason i said that is because this is a message board, and from what i see on this thing, lots of people totin' record bags around these days, lots of people that dont know the first thing about matchin a beat much less, mixing. im just glad to see that there are other people in dallas that are about techno, it fills my heart with joy. One more question, where do you get your techno from...cant really go to core unless what you play is stricktly minimal, or maybe detroit, or djax upbeats since thats all they carry. Anyway, yeah bro just wanted to shout out thats all, keep it real....j

There's a few places around town you can find some good stuff at. Ilmmatic Records probably has the best selection of techno that I've seen in the past couple years around Dallas. They have a dope variation of different styles of techno. They got everything from deep minimal tech house to bangin' german techno. I would say they get the biggest techno shipment around here. Plus, if there's anything that you need that they don't have...Lacy knows a shit load about techno. He'll hook you up w/ whatever you need. Core Records is also good. I mostly buy my minimal/tech house stuff up there. Eric Entity does a really good job of ordering that kind of stuff. He's really familiar with all the minimal labels that put out good stuff. They still get a little hard stuff in every now and then also. But as you said, it's mostly on the minimal/detroit tip. I was ordering records for the techno section at Tech*Sun Records when they first opened the store in Arlington. But no one was buying any of it. So I quit ordering. But yeah...that's where I buy my records. Thanks for the props. It's always good to hear about people in Dallas actually into something a little out of the ordinary as far as music goes. over & out |
