Yup - EbTech makes a Line Level Shifter that fixes the attenuation problem. Look here:: http://www.audiomidi.com/common/cfm/...roduct_ID=1012 Aha!

It still isn't balanced and to produce a quality ampped single a balanced single is required. You can totally hear the difference.

The Behringer can not touch Pioneer in quality or sound. They try to remake all pioneer's mixers, but for around $300; you get what you pay for. I have played on a behringer. The cue in the headphones did not work right, and the crossfader was very stiff. PIONEER ALL THE WAY.

Ok I've been interested in checking this particular mixer out(for kicks, so I can see how it stacks up) for about a year now. It is available at guitarcenter and online for about 200. Call me ignorant but could you explain the balanced/unbalanced output. There is a l/r master channel balance, but something tells me that isnt what you are talking about. Please explain.

i don't know of the quality of the mixer... but unbalanced should NOT be a problem for recording say, at home. it could be bad in a live setup because of longer cable runs with more interference. although i seriously doubt anyone could tell the difference without a signal analyzer (in a small setup that is)
