Tickets run anywhere from 300+ round trip, if you know where to look. Go on vacation, check out some cool shows in Japan, and get some gear. If you are smart you will mail it to yourself.
The best place to get gear is Electric City. You will see shitloads of gear everywhere. Guess what? They also have pawn shops.You can find production gear like the Akai MPC3000 (yeah not the 2000) for about 400+ bucks in some cases. You can find MC505's for 500+ if you are lucky, but they run about 600. You may even be lucky enough to find an 808 (original). Considering the round trip ticket pays itself off if you get one item, you get the most for your money if you take a couple grand. (An MC505 and an Akai MPC2000 run about 3,000 brand new) PEACE
