I’ve complained before about relationship complications from Myspace and my going out schedule. Well, this past weekend, I experienced the other side of the myspace coin. When you're in a serious relationship, when do myspace flirtations cross the line? Last week, the b-fri used my computer to check his myspace…well he didn’t sign out. The next day, when I went to log-in, the myspace gods logged me into his 'Space. So what’s a girl to do? The right thing: sign him off and sign back on. Yeah. Right. So I looked into whom exactly he was conversing with… And she can be described in three words: Blonde. Plastic. Vegas. She said she wanted to play ‘intern’ to his ‘president’. I almost threw up, not out of jealousy but disgust – come on! The guy who is supposed to worship the ground I walk on is flirting via myspace with-- with this? Yuck! And then there were the conversations with his 'bros," like "Man, your friend Shelia’s hot, why didn’t you ever introduce me to her??” and then chats with girls like, “let’s meet up for coffee sometime, I’d love to get to know you better and chat about working in the ‘industry’.” So in my rage I call Amber, my best friend, and ask for her advice, she was more calm and rational about the situation than I was looking for: Amber: “well Morgan, you two are both VERY flirtatious people, you just are, but you should trust him (she’s known him much longer than I have) and besides what do you think he would say about you dancing on the table at Element last week with Ben?? Granted it was harmless, and you two are just friends, but you think that would make him happy?” me: “…” Amber: “exactly” So, being stubborn and female I couldn’t just “let it go” so I asked him, not as calmly as I would have liked, but then again I think a flair for the dramatic is way too underrated in most soon-to-be arguments. The end result – he’s redeemed himself. And I felt somewhat silly. But I'm still curious. Myspace has struck once again, but this time it's not me that's getting in trouble… and that doesn't make me feel any better, and I'm still looking for an answer: what crosses the line?
