Post CP NEWS: Another Clubbing "Don't": Fall 20 Feet From VIP Room

clubber-falls-from-VIP-top.jpg

I've had some embarrassing club moments. I've danced with a girl, dipped her, and then dropped her to the floor. One time I "accidentally" bought a girl two $300 bottles of Grey Goose. The same night, one of my buddies vomited in the champagne bucket…at someone else's table (in someone ese's bucket.)

You name it, I've done it. I've lost a passport at a bar, I've attempted a handstand, and I've hit on my share of transvestites.

But this is a new one.

In more clubbing news from the UK, some drunken dude fell 20 feet from the VIP balcony to the dance floor. He was taken to the hospital, but he survived. (No word on how the fall affected his status on "re-entries."

Fascinatingly, it sounds like when the guy fell, people didn't notice and still kept dancing. Some comments from readers at the YorkPress, which first reported the story:

"I was there on Friday Night…The victim lay there with the bouncers next to him, and the dance floor was kept open and the music was as loud as ever. The police shut the dance floor approx half an hour after the incident. The way the Gallery Nightclub handled the incident was disgusting."

"… the Gallery handled the situation was not good. People were still dancing literally feet from where the man lay on the dancefloor (the bouncers were crouching next to him), right up until the paramedics arrived. It was clear that the guy was not in a good way. Even as we left, Gallery staff were shouting people to come back in and not go home. They should have cleared the dance floor straight away and turned all the music off, instead they carried on as normal for what must have been around 15 mins. The gallery did not close the dance floor or the balcony, the Police did around half an hour after the fall."

The original story from YorkPress after the jump.
