Wouldn't one of the first indicators be the display being completely out?
He's obviously looking at it in one pic and looking up scanning the audience in the next.

yeah, that has a bright blue interface, that would be more than obvious. his hands are on the sliders. fuck it, they prolly got 10k for that show.
