Another memorable night! thanks to all who showed up. The love was evident just by coming out and supporting. Last night we got that special underground vibe again like we have so many times in the past with our intimate special events where you'll hear the beauty and funk of a LIVE PA by Plastic Sleeves who delivered one of the most real LIVE sets you'll ever see. programming new songs on the fly...nothing sequenced and playing 808 beats live tapping them in while simultaneously playing the basslines on the keys...only a cybernetic being such as the psleeves can do this! Also the raw funk of 3 decks by Bill Converse and Ricky & Revolv. Luke reminded us of where it all came from and took us back in time delivering one of the best techno/acid/deep sets ever witnessed...everything from drexciya to ectomorph to carl craig 4 jazz funk classics to master c&j to ending it off with classic mike dunn! Luke you RULE!!!!!! If you were there to see this you know, YOU GOT SERVED!!! great to see the heads and classic dallas pioneers all in attendance... Troy Anderson made it out!, jason sparkman (old hard sync mag writer/reviewer), Jeff Wade, Jeff Shore, Charlie Draper, Convextion and a host of others we did not expect to see. Thanks again and we'll see you next time folks. peace - dL

A memorable night indeed. Huge thanks to everyone in attendence. All I saw were pure heads from the early years up to present day. These are the people that keep this shit going. An even bigger thanks to the artists & dj's of the night. Rick is always fun to play with because he knows no boundries with good music and he's never afraid of a challenging mix. Bill definately brought the Detroit vibe with him. There were at least two or more records playing @ a time through the whole mix. Plastic Sleeves brought the frunk from beyond this galaxy with his PA. The intro was superb and the beats were intense & deep. Be on the look out for records from him in the future. I believe several copies of his releases on dL & Bunker are sitting @ the BPM store right now. Luke Sardello, this man provided the therapy I've been needing. It was a classic set of timeless records that kept us all on the dance floor till the last beat. Luke's the man...never disapoints. anyway, thanks to everyone that was there. |

Downlow knows what's up! A great night with quality music. Bill Converse on 3 turntables? Woah. I couldn't have expected how sweetly hard that would be. Nice set and great energy. Ricky and Revolv got me moving. Loved it just as I suspected I would. Can't wait for Revolv's birthday party this Saturday at Limelight. My only regret for the evening was having to leave early to meet up with some friends. Thank you, dL! |
