now that thats taken care of, on to the review...
squarepusher was fuckin awesome, as expected.. live bass over the whole set!!!!!

dallas was not ready for this show.. I have a feeling that half of the people left in a daze. and I cant believe there were that many people there on a tuesday.

But I got the set recorded reguardless of all the people, and they made for some nice crowd cheering inbetween tracks!

too crowded for my tastes...... how the hell are u supposed to dance in an elbow to elbow enviroment like that.... also, the info on ddm claimed it was a dnb annndddd IDM show..... i didnt hear hear any idm for shit...

Great show from the time we got there. Some of Tom's set was a bit hard to ingest, but there were definitely moments of shining clarity.

Cassetteboy was mildly entertaining, but then all of the reviews I'd read of them becoming a bit annoying after a while rang true.

DJ before SP was amazing, think it was either Johnny J or Tom's younger brother -- one of the best jungle sets I've ever heard out.

Trees was packed...easy to dance up until SP's set, when it became pretty impossible. After about 1am enough people cleared out that it all became danceable again.

We finally had to pull out a little early, mostly because the smoke was making us violently ill once more.

And so, the review stands at "thank you, squarepusher & friends; fuck you, filthy swine smokers of dallas (as usual, may your emphysema and related illnesses cause you a quick death in the next year so you'll stop polluting the air at venues); (and fuck you, trees, for not handling the ventilation issue as a professional music venue should)."

I really enjoyed the show. I've been waiting a while to check out Squarepusher. I haven't ever seen Trees that packed.

Thanks to my carpooling homies for getting me safely out of downtown. I woke up on the couch. Whew.

Naw the show was.. hmmm.. PACKED AS HELL. I've actually never, ever, seen Trees filled with that many people.

Squarepusher was insane. Almost too insane for my tastes, but I still had a good time with the great company I was in.

No more smoke drink smoke drink smoke drink smoke drink action.

And Amber, how would you have been able to notice? You passed out in the car on the way home, and it wasn't till then when I drank the vodka.

I guess I'll be the first to throw out the negative comments.

I thought that was one of the cheesiest shows I've ever been to. It was Tiesto playing drummond base with a bass guitar in his hands. Fuck, half the time he was playing the damn thing he was so out of time it wasn't even funny.

I did have the funs though because of the peeps I was with.
