Sasha's still a champion ... Luke Fair was excellent ... his 2nd track was just the bomb .... Merritt did a great job warming up the crowd ... Thanks goes out to Full Access for continuing to throw quality events ... It was packed, it was hot, it was one of those nights we all look forward to ... -wes

I dont know what to say............ I'm still a bit overwhelmed over what happened tonight. I walked in at a little after ten and Merritt (no fucken doubt about it) was laying down some fucken sickness. The bangin, was being brought early. ![]() The club was rammed and getting even more full by the minute early by that point. and then................ Luke Fair just straight up came in guns fucken blazin.Merritt's last track transitioning into Luke's intro went in a blink. Luke fucken,................ALMOST, stole the show. LOADS of unreleased stuff that kept everyone truckin along. His shit without a doubt was banging but for whatever reason setup Sasha perfectly. Sasha got in there with his signature sound. I cant really fully understand or divuldge what the fuck happened afterwards. The club was rammed, everyone was up for it Till the last track the place was fucken full.... Sasha's last track (someone ID it please) had the place still going even right at closing. Big fucken ups and massive respect to all those who made this happen - Full Access, Club Seven, and Jay Winborn. Once again ANOTHER memorable night goes down at Seven. I will miss thee............. ![]() Everyone that showed up tonight represented not only a true club scene style but pretty much showed that this town can grow over and beyond. I wasn't there but was walking back to Lizard Lounge from Crave and could hear the music from the back. There was a pretty hefty line at Seven at 10:30. Sounds like things went well. Glad to hear it. It ain't which community brings it, because we are all subgenres of one larger community. One-upmanship breeds contempt. But I'm glad to see that bit by bit, all things are getting better.

oh shit, fuck phooka, fuck merritt, fuck dgp, fuck em all eh?? just because they play at bars. fuck all the people who go to these places? wake up fernie, right now it is the dance scene for the most part. at least here in dallas. i know things are bigger else whwere, but guess what, we dont live elsewhere. we live here, and we have to make the most of what we do have, even if it is in little bitty bars, clubs. a vibe can happen in a room of 50 people What i am trying to convey here is that these "bars" or "shout-gun" spaces may not be the big deal, ie: big room/sound/lights (which yes, i like it big too, big sound, big lights, big room, big people) but it is a lifeline that keeps many things here afloat. and in them you will find just as much if not more dedication, commitment, and passion to this movement as you will anywhere else in the world. and saying "realize this shit is bigger",..sir, there are plenty of big players here in big d. the overall attendance and size of things here may be lackluster, but dallas has a special, unique vibe like nowhere else in the world. the sound as you say, is not our "so called interpreted sound" but a well defined and respected sound that is charted, and played around the globe on a heavy scale. Try visiting a recod store in europe and check out whos on the shelf, youd be amazed. i know this is supposed to be a sasha review thread but im calling you on this one fern, what gives man? ,.. and fyi, i would have loved being at sasha, but seeing as how i needed to be in bed before 1am. my "lazy" ass needed to come to work today instead of being at the show. i just dont get why you have to attach such a negative response to a party review thread, basically shitting on the majority of the people who have busted their ass to give up many nights i have seen you enjoying yourself at sir. well, above all i hope the show was great, i really wished i could have made it, but 8 hours of sleep the last 3 days had left me exhausted. A lot of people might staple the 'house head' tag on me since that's what I played at my last gig... Personally, I just consider myself a music fan. Admittedly, I don't dig Sasha as much as I once did, but I've still got a lot of respect for "the man like." I've never even attended one of Jeremy's events, but I still stuck up for both Full Access and Seven when someone wanted to bitch about the circumstances. I would have loved to have been there, but I had my own reasons (among them lack of sleep and a gut-wrenching stomachache that has had me running for the bathroom about 7 or 8 times since 7pm last night, both of which are beyond the scope of this thread). Think about the fact that for most of the guys putting on house events, smaller bar-like-clubs (e.g. Pharmacy, Crave, etc) are really the only options considering that the people that have, over the last few months, brought too much world-class talent to name, still won't draw enough of a crowd to pack a place like Seven, and don't have oodles of capital to do as they please. A lot of the time, these "dives," as you call them, are willing to pay a significant chunk of the fee so they can further establish themselves and make out way better on drink sales, so they hopefully won't have to remain "dives" forever in a town where the success rate of any such place is VERY LOW. Also, need I remind you that when MVM branched out, recognizing the potential of Club Seven when they brought Halo and Duane, that it was *SEVEN* who reneged on the deal, citing that they were "changing formats," forcing them to move at the last minute?... Oh well, I guess the "house heads" need to just recognize that they should be complacent in their niche of catering to the patrons of shithole dive bars... ![]() So anyway, as cliche as it sounds, we're all in it together... so just live and let live, before you make the generalization that every "house head" out there is nothing but a hatin'-ass barfly. Regardless, I'm glad the show went off, and that you had a good time. Let the POSITIVE reviews commence. ![]() Brad

again, hope all had a blast, im sure sasha layed it down sick as usual. as i have said before, delta heavy was an experience like no other, plus full access knows how to do things right. i wish i could have made this one, personally i think seven would have been a great spot to be at for it, ive always liked that spot. Dude I had a great time last night, first off. Thank you full access for bringing the real shit to Dallas. Some of those tracks that merritt and lluke were playing was some of the most wicked sonic shit i've ever heard. I got chills during some of the breakdowns, that hasn't happened to me in years. I actually did the "jump up and down and pump your fist when the bass kicks back in" and I never do that. I would also like to personally thank the beautiful women of Dallas for coming out.....God is definitely a man .Honestly I didn't stay for Sasha, saw him in Miami and Seven was starting to get way out of control. If the fire marshall showed up he would have raped them hardcore. I'm a pretty big guy and i was having to throw my fucking weight around and literally push people to get anywhere, and I'm not like that and hate doing that and being rude to people, just to go take a piss. Also...what the fuck was up with the bartenders????? Can seven not hire a few more guys. God bless them, they were hauling ass but there where just tooo many people to serve. I know they did the best they could with the venue change, but seven was not suitable for a show of that stature. I just felt kind of dirty being there. It got so goddamn packed that i was getting elbowed, stepped on, drinks spilled. And not like whoops"I'm so sorry" people were fucking dicks about it. And i was way the fuck in the back of the club where i could breath. It was like 90 degrees in there. Zero ventilation. Also that sounds system sucks dick. There is a difference between a loud system (which seven has) and a pure, clean, quality system. When you put all of those elements together, the sound will blow your mind, not just make your fucking ears ring. over all I give the show ...half an erection....keep up the work full access i will support you at oakenfold after i have my reality shredded by Rabbit in the Moon.......peace matt |
