Mephit furmeet 2004

Being the adventurous person I am, I have been to alot of different types of places, met alot of different types of people and have hung out, and chilled with many different types of subcultures. I have been to swingers party's,Goth shows,Anime conventions, Gun shows, Radio Contorl airplane fly-ins, and raves...so as you can imagine i have seen the weird...

BUT NOTHING and I REPEAT NOTHING could have prepared me for this weekends oddesy....an event called "memphit furmeet" in other words.....a convention of people of all ages who enjoy one or more of the following...

1.prenteding they are some kind of furry animmal(dog,cat,fox,lion,skunk..etc.)
2.drawing furry animmals
3.having sex with other people who like to pretend they are furry animmals
4.having sex with indeed...furry animmals, or horses...beastiality
5.dressing up in mascot-like out fits and parading around
6.playing role playing fanatsy games in whicj their characters are furry animmals.

ok...I dont fit into any of those catergories..however my roomate-and best freind does..so i went with him.

the event is a 4 day convention, open 24 hours, thurs-mon.
we got to the event around 4am saturday morning...immediatly i noticed this was going to be a freak fest..the parking lot of the holiday inn was filled with cars., about 78% of them had lisense plates that said things like...FUrRY1,FLFURRY,IMAFUR, stuff like that..that is not what bothered me...my real worry was all the rainbow stickers and FULL COLOR paintings on the hoods of the cars..and back windsheilds...

well i had to say the least, a freaked out time, saturday night sucked, but their was some party kids their and i got a chance to dj at the dance(spinning for a bunch of people dressed like animmals was pretty surreal, but fun.
the best part was when a large group of southern baptist came into the motel with a megaphone and started shouting prayers. crazy stuff.

i will get captioned pics to tell the story that words cannot describe, posted on usesless blabber, as well as full essay entitled "what the fuck is wrong with these people?"

give me a few days it will be worth it.
