Don't Forget, TIM SHUMAKER will be at obar Thanksgiving for his only Dallas appearence this year! PS - Stottle and I are moving our residency to Friday nights starting next week, so make a note of it... |

Well I hit up Obar last night about 1:00 with a few friends, didn't even know about it before ending up at Iron Cactus last night... Obar isn't a bad place, I would probably will be back again in the future, however, $9 for a Tang 10 and Tonic with a crappy pour is a rip off. Unless they start charging less, or pouring better for the $$$. The tunes were quite nice, and the atmosphere was quite wonderful, it was nice to not be in a dungeon, club and feel closed in, where you can't see to your friends, or have the music so loud that its impossible to even cary on any sort of conversation. The music was tight, its nice to go out and hear mixes that actally transation from one song to another instead of the stop disk 1, start disk 2, or even the nice uber-elite DJ, watch this 8 beat mix....I loved hearing the mix get played out for a while instaed of a quick transition from one track to the next...
