The Adventures of C-Dubulous & Drew @ RITM

once upon a time, c-dub and drew loaded up the acura and drove down to austin to catch one of their favorite acts, none other than rabbit in the moon....because drew takes longer to get ready than most girls, they were a little late getting on the road....c-dub informed drew that his throat would be cut if they were late for the show....as luck would have it, they found the venue at midnight just as the legends were scheduled to hit the stage....but to their disbelief, the parking lot was empty and there was no music in the air.....a note on the door advised that the party had been relocated to a new venue, so they proceeded to haul ass again.....they arrived at the spot and darted inside to find bunny about 5 minutes into his final scratch set...the vibe was underground and his selections ranged from breaks to house to techno to hardstyle....he was handed a bottle of petrone to enjoy during his set....he was very animated and charismatic, and he enjoyed coming down off the stage to mingle with the crowd....his partner in crime, confucius, graced the decks (cdj's anyway) after bunny....either a complaint or electrical malfunction caused the main floor speakers to be reduced to a whisper....confucius threw down an excellent deep house set (including a new RITM track), but he was basically just being heard thru the monitors....since snowhite had been kind enough to give her brother ron-e a heads up before the show, c-dub and drew had no problem going backstage to see the inner workings of this rave....not surprisingly, bunny was found in a room full of hot partygirls....the visual mixer was interesting to watch too....when the music stopped and the dust settled, our heroes ventured off to ihop with the e-pro crew....they managed to smuggle in a full-size bottle of kaluha for their coffee....kickers seemed to surround their table on all sides, and the evil country vibes were thick....once they finished their meals, the ihop crew gathered around ron-e, sang, and wished him a happy birthday with free dessert, although he seemed to be confused and suspicious about the whole situation....the caravan then moved on the afterparty, which took place in a small autoshop garage....bunny had another great dj set and stuck around to hang out until about 6am.....at one point, the police came to visit and asked that the music be stopped....bunny was upset b/c the music died in the middle of a great fire poi demonstration, and he was inspired....he asked his friend to bring in some drums, but they weren't with the gear....then out of nowhere, c-dubulous had a sensible thought: the garage was packed with many things to beat on and things to beat them with....he mentioned this to bunny, who then went on a mission to build the ultimate impromptu drum kit....mr. dub will never forget the night he got to play in a drum circle with bunny....hopefully, the entire RITM entourage will be back in texas soon for another live p.a.....drew and c-dub made it safely back to dfw, with plenty of great memories and 3 beers left.....and to think, drew was actually considering working this morning instead of going to austin last night!

When I am not so tired I will plug in the rest of the story. All and all we had a great night and Rabbit in the Moon threw it down proper.
Bunny thank you for the conversation, thank you for calling my friend and making her day. She still can't stop talking about it and also thank you for the chance to make music with you on our auto garage drum set. I will NEVER EVER forget this beutiful night. Like I said I will tell the whole story when I am not so tired.

We partied like Rock Stars completly sober with Rabbit in the Moon.

It was a great show. The only thing that pissed me off was the MC. He was a good MC, I just dont think that his flow matched the style of music over the course of the evening. Ron-E had a great set. Thanks for playing that song for me man. Cant wait for the new CD. With all the problems Austin has had getting shows to go off, it was nice to see them have a party get done with no issues other than a last minute venue change.

I still am in shock over the whole night. Putting together the homemade drum circle and making music with Bunny was prolly the best part of the whole night for me. I wish everyone who appreciates Rabbit in the Moon could have been there, sorry you missed it.
I really can't believe Drunken Drew, was actually going to go to work that day. What were you thinking?

In fact I tried to get everyone to go with me. see at one point I thought my good friend Drew had to work so I thought I was going to go by myself.
