Sandra Collins???

So how as her set? Did she have any crowd participation, or was she like a robot?? How was her mixing?

It seemed as though she got a little more into it as the set progressed. A little hand clapping, a lot of lip synching. I thought her mix was fine, but I can't say that I thought it was any better than some of you local girls/ guys. Mike was unimpressed.

But how fucked up was she. The two times i saw her spin she was long gone for saigon and then some. I was surprised she could even walk,

Her mixing seemed pretty spot on to me. Her set was very progressive. It was very nice to see a progressive set thrown down to such a packed crowd at the lounge. I think all of the "heads" were into her set a lot more than Fatboy's. None the less she did a great job of creating anticipation for the total chaos that is Mr. Slim.

Yeah, we discussed that aspect of the performance as well. I also hear that she once showed up to Dallas sans records and still wanted her money.

I really didn't think she was that faded, but I didn't see her near the end of her set either. Something wasn't quite right though. Her set was dark and prog, and she would have these pretty great builds, and then.....blah & splat, just drop it back down to crap, but nobody noticed, except me (and maybe a few others I don't know). Twice I stood there waiting for the drop while everyone else was kinda goin nuts and she'd look at me, then drop it and people would start dancin because most of them don't know any better and for the most part didn't give a shit, and she'd see that I didn't start goin off too and like turn away real quick to the back of the booth, like she knew that it was weak. I dunno. I've seen her twice before and this was by far nothing compared to those sets in the past. Oh well just gotta wait till WMC now...3 more months!!

The drop? Weak? ok.

Like bartlett said, it was great hearing progressive being played to a large crowd, and them getting somewhat down to it.

The only thing I spotted was Slacker's 'Goodnight Clocks,' which is a great trippy kinda prog house record, and it was great to see folks getting down to it!

If it were up to me, I would've wanted her to keep playing the whole night.

As for fatboy slim, lol, that guy's hillarious.

Her mixing was pretty flawless as usual but she didnt play her "Signature" sound(dark/melodic) Its was more housey prog with full on vocals.. Her set had good progression from start to mid-set but didnt peak IMO. She definetely had crowd participation either way.....

Yea...from what I remember she was pretty good! Pretty good songs and she wasn't all dolled up like a whore.

I remember her appearance at Liquid where the airport lost her records very well.........the reason?? She asked me to take her back to the hotel. wink wink ;-)
