Arrived at Purgatory saturday night at 10:30pm... - Dallas Dance Music - Dallas nightlife, music, tickets, and more

I got to Purgatory at 10:30pm saturday night and now they charged me $20 cover charge. I guess they will get away with this since the place is new and people will pay that out of curiosity since the place is new and word is still getting around about the place but I'm not sure if they are going to sustain that for months to come. I personally think charging $10 is adequate for this market. Maybe you can get away with charging $20 cover in places like Los Angeles, Las Vegas, New York, but I think that is too high for the Dallas scene. Another suggestion is to make it FREE from 9pm-10pm, $10 for 10pm-11pm and after 11pm make it $20. That way they are encouraging people to show up earlier and have a longer length of time to spend on buying drinks till the place closes at 2am.

the place is awesome.

didn't like the 5$ domestics.

but overall the place is great. I was very suprised with how great it turned out.

Saturday at Purgatory sucked ass for me. The people were either fucking stupid or fucking assholes. It was an unwelcome change. I'm sure it was a one time occurance. I hope, anyway.

Yeah, I went that one time and had a blast but Im not paying 20$ anymore. I would if I had the cash cause it is worth it................ well mostly but its still extortion. Anyways, Purgatory is better, but uropa from the few experiences ive had is just as fun for MUCH less money.

But thats my opinion *Shrug*.
