good I'm glad they deleted it. Nothing pisses me off more then when people bitch about promotion. It takes a lot more work then people really think.

Seriously, I was a little disappointed to walk into an empty club. I get on DDM every day, go out almost every night, and I still didn't even realize this party was coming up until Friday when someone asked if I was going. Maybe the promoters didn't want to promote to the house heads, that could be why I didn't see any flyers...I don't know...but was expecting to get down with a bunch of freaks on Saturday!

I enjoyed the music, but he could have played more acid house!

I feel that same way, more acid please. About 1 hour into his set, he really started to bang it out, but that first hour was a bit unfocused. Glad to have some different talent coming through town.

I know that what I wrote was constructive criticism and facts of the night and some of it probably stung. However, I do agree that people laid into Sean about the promotions...but what do you expect when a guy claims on one hand that 300+ showed up then the next he says I tried the best I can and was overwokred??? ( i'd erase those claims too) People crucified that occupancy claim. I think that's what got it spinning out of control. And yes, Josh was focusing more on the people in the booth than the people that paid to see him. That is unitl 2am.

I deleted it because Mike suggested that I should, otherwise it wouldn't have really occured to me. The amount of people there and the amount that paid are two different things, and over the course of the night there were about 300 people in and out.

Sean, I really dont know you and Im sorry things ended the way it did. Maybe it was best that it was deleted (out of sight out of mind). ANyway I wont split hairs over the numbers, but the important thing to know is that people wanted to see Josh and Im just glad someone thought enought to bring him down. In the future Im sure you'll have a better feel as to how to go about promoting such events.

No, it came together so fast that I didn't even think to talk to Monarch about that. I also need to get the Brat Pack on there as well.

Just a couple of things. First, the turnout of the event has absolutly nothing to do with Sean's promoting. Sean killed himself promoting this event. The fault lies with me. I failed to give Sean the manpower and tools needed so if it's anyone's fault it's mine. We've have thrown numerous events dating back to 1998 and our shows have always been well promoted. All of those shows were promoted by Sean and all of them were successfully promoted. Anyone who doubts Sean as a promoter has never had the privilige of working with him. He works harder than anyone I know. Secondly, if you get on DDM everyday and only found out about this show on Friday, then you don't get on here everyday. That's a ridiculous statement.

I do apologize if you didn't know or didn't get a flier. In hindsight, I did do a poor job as i compared what I did with my previous shows. No excuse for it. All I can do is just be better in the future. But the show was a success. If 1 person came out and had a bad ass time, whether there was 10 people of 10,000 people there, then it was a success.

Josh's set : I agree that the first hour was not really my taste, but wow did he fuck it up the last hour and a half. A joy to watch him work.

Lastly, thanks to Shelly and Chris. These are 2 of the most professional and honest people I know. You guys rock.
