I was disappointed. I LOVE hip-hop and was excited to hear it wafting down the street as we walked up. So we dropped our five spots and popped in (after I pissed of the door guy by messing up his hair). Upon pulling up to the bar I saw a handful of my favorite peeps and thought to myself that it was gonna be a nice night for a Tuesday. After ordering our first round of beers we started to finally actively listen to what was goin on. The music wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. Found it a little hard to get into it because we were so apathetic about the choons bein played so we moved to the patio and listened to people complain about the music. Prolly woulda stayed a while longer but the overall vibe from the party goers was so blase' that I became similarly affected. Took off before ordering another round and bumped house music in the truck all the way back to Pharmacy. I'd love to hear Pal Joey on a bigger system playin house music. Not that I don't like hip-hop. . . I just don't like the hip-hop that Pal played. |

A bit, but freestyle kinda put everyone to sleep early on. Pal got things together eventually. Crowd was ambivalent at best. Typical Dallas action. Truth told I'm pretty kebabbed right now so my memory's a bit hazy. Quote:

I had a good time and was glad to hear some of the stuff that PJ dropped. How often are you going to hear Wutang played alongside some of the funkier house that we all know and love and have it make sense? As I left, I heard Blue Six's "Sweeter Love". That made my night alone, besides seeing the female badass dancer from Slip Inn there.
