The psy-trance night... was good... a shocker to the typical Friday night Lounge crowd.... but good. I will let Mist take the reins on that one... but after settling in... all DJ's spun some great sets!

Rx closed out the night with a DnB set... and... I actually LIKED IT! OMG! Yes... Bunny said she liked Rx's DnB set. Of course... I may be biased... cause the man behind it is just so sweet!

RX is a God at playing drum and bass. I wish the other turntable had not started messing up on him, because I was way deep into the groove he was throwing down.
I've said it to him, but the reason I don't enter DJ contests is because I am scared someone like him would walk on stage.
There are DJ's, and then there are artists, and I wouldn't be surprised to see him blow up global.

And EP was throwing down a stellar set upstairs also. I'd throw more nice words about him, but I promised Electrawoman a fancy dinner out, and if we don't get to Pancho's soon. we might lose our reservation.

Rx... man, he is badass. I also loved his set. DnB is good for the soul sometimes! So much energy!!!

Drannan - funky disko from the fringe alien autopsy room...RED LIGHTS...aghhhhh!....Dana gettin crazy with me under the skyline....pushing around a crate of "cigarettes" all over the poop deck..."this time of night you can get some pictures of people doing stuff...they wouldn't normally do...."

Yo the lounge sucked for me last night. My friends and I show at 12:30 and everyone has already left.....wtf? I thought it was oddly empty for a "Glow" night.

hello everyone:

i don't really frequent the lizard lounge, and from what i hear it was kind of a slow night for the entire club.
so let me thank everyone who did come out, and make our evening fun. thanks for the support.

i didn't really hang out anywhere except for the video bar, so can't really comment on the other music. but, i'm biased anyway, right? :>}

so here's how it went down:

We spent the first part of the evening trying to fix the sound in the video bar. For some reason, it was only coming out of the right side of the room. :>{ Too bad, because one of the best things about psy trance is the stereophonic craziness. Management told us we'd just have to deal with it.....

Dylan got on the decks around 10.
What he played was kind of atypical for a Dylan set.
Not so old school, more new. Although, he did drop a track off of Concept in Dance. And of course some Etnica!
A good warm up of what was to come.

I went on about 11:30.... I was getting ready to mix Disco Bumming into Dylan's Disco Trash.... and that's when i learned my first lesson of the evening. The CDJs at the lizard lounge don't really work all that well. I slapped on a record, and went from there. Kind of threw me off.... But man, all the people jamming by the end of my set sure put a smile on my face. See... :>}

Brian (Uhm) took over at 1. I must say, as always, i very much enjoyed his set. If you have never checked out a psy trance DJ, this is the man you have to go see! Not too crazy or full on, not too minimal.... Just a great mix of great tracks!

When the bar closed at 2, the bulk of the club seemed to leave.
We stayed and dance to Uhm's set until 3. Mostly just us psy trance kids on the floor. Fun fun fun.

RX (nice to see you again, my man) took us all by surprise with some dnb at the end. Allow me to say this, i don't care for dnb. But he was having a good time, and mixed it pretty smooth. We left durring his set, as it was time to go get some SLEEP!!!!

Aside from technicall difficulties, it was all and all a good evening.
It was great to see.... David, Eric, and Tracy - hope to see you kids next friday, too :>} Nina - always a pleasure hanging out with you. Jackie and Keith - yous guys is da craziest!!! Thanks for supporting as always! Mrs. Jen - good to see you, again. Karen, Trent, and the Epik crew - thanks for having us out, and for pushing psy trance in DFW. Always a pleasure to work with you. I wish I'd been there, I would have been hugging all up on the monoaural goodness from the right speakers!!

When is the next get together of this calibre scheduled? Or is there one?!!? I'm actually not very surprised by the indifferent response to your audio problem, from what I've heard, and experienced, of the LL, some of the staff can be less than helpful (read: boorish and cantankerous).

His stuff on the Umprod website sounds badass!!! Psy-trance DJs kickass because they get into the music. Most I've seen have gotten out and started dancing with everyone, in between records/cds!!!

I had the best time ive ever had at the LL. Most of it due to the good music that was being played!!! Got there around 12 or so. Thank God my girlfriend was driving so i could get sloshed! ;P Mist was spinning and moving the crowd very nicely. It was cool to see people going off to psy-trance at the LL. I could tell people were being exposed and liking it. After Mist dj UHM came on to throw down something a bit more melodic but still keeping it slammin. Thanks for dropping panic in paradise, its allways nice to hear a classic on a big sound system. Great sets by both of them. Sorry i didnt get there in time to catch Dylan.

Went upstars to check out the deck and saw EP spinning some nice melodic trance. It was a very nice night and felt great outside.

all in all i had a good time Friday night. Trancers should support this!

It was a pretty chill night at the LL, for me anyway. I was too exhausted to get my dance on, but i had fun listening to the great tunes! thanks for keeping me company mark always very cool to chill with you. Werd to all the other ca-razy draving cats i saw out, always a good time!!

Karen, i looked for you as i was leaving, but didn't find ya. yeah, trent looked like he was having such a good time!! i'm glad! always out there cuttin' a rug!! and hearing the news about eddie halliwell (sp?) WOW!! you guys are so awesome....he hinted this about me a while ago, but wouldn't spill the beans. well, the news was worth the wait! i can't begin to tell you how excited i am about this. Get ready dallas--you's about to get ripped a new asshole!!!
