| Viram World Tour at Smart Bar and Carl Cox at Godskitchen (Chicago)
Smart Bar was a smaller version of Club One, but equally as nice. The system was loud and the people were cool as fuck. The local djs were pretty good, but ours are definitely better. Shimon went on next and started the party off right. He was pretty phat, but nothing could have prepared me for the sickness that I was about to witness when Ed Rush and Optical took over the decks. I was right up front the whole time and I can't even begin to describe how phat they were throwing down. Everyone was eating it up and they were feeding off of the crowd perfectly. The vibe there was thicker than I have ever felt at any Dallas DnB show. At the peak of the party Andy C took over and he took control of the party. He was throwing down like a madman and had my ass sweatin'. Everyone was screaming and you could feel the basslines vibrate your whole body. The party was sick as fuck and had my heart racing the whole time. Saturday, we headed to Godskitchen to check out Carl Cox. We got in for free because Chris aka Defcon got us on the guestlist (thanks man, I owe you one). The club was fucking beautiful. It was 7 stories high and put Purgatory to shame. That's how nice it was. Everything about it was pimp. We jammed out to the resident dj, who was ok, but nothing special. Carl Cox came on at 1 and set the fucking place on fire. I have never heard anyone lay the cock down like that. I was beyond amazed and in awe with how much of a pimp he was on the decks. He never let up. His mixing was dead on and he played the phattest records I have ever heard in my life all while keeping the crowd in a frenzy and having them eat out of the palm of his hand. The place was fucking packed and I was sweating like a motherfucker and yelling at the top of my lungs. That's how fucking phat it was. There wasn't a sole in the place that was sitting still. I'm still in amazement of what I witnessed that night. Nothing I've seen or felt before even compares. In conclusion, Chicago parties fucking ROCK to say the least and to me it just seems like the djs go off much harder in Chicago than they do in Dallas. I'm definitely going back to Chicago. I absolutely loved it. ![]() Pics are up if you want to check them out: http://www.dallasdancemusic.com/pict...umName=albup16 |

I am glad you enjoyed all that Chicago has to offer. Talking to my friends up there they said the place was as off the hook as it gets there. Best party of the year so you picked the right night to go. On a side note. The opener for cox was n LA dj named Mark Lewis. and Viram had no local openers. The dj's down here are good but Chicago matches up pretty well.

I can't even begin to tell you how much fun we had. Thanks a lot for hooking us up. I want to go back already. Come to the party on Saturday at Crave and I'll get you back. And hell yeah dude, that was one insanely SICK party. And I guess after seeing Carl Cox spin, nobody compares. Mark Lewis was good, but nowhere near what Carl Cox laid down. Once again, thanks a lot. That was cool as fuck. |

It's why I love partying so much more when I party in other cities. The energy is just so different and more alive. I knew you guys were gonna be noticing the difference when you came back.
