Even though people on here are debating turnout/politics i had a great time..me and my ten friends mainly girls incl my wife all got home by 6am.. It was nice chatting with mr dinaire & vicious vic, transplant even this guy called mxmind .And finally the promoter himself..i know hard he worked here and what he had to face..respects my friend..i know you will get them next time.Esp if you bring my friend we spoke about...Back in capetown i remember nights, where there would be like a tidy trax tour nite at my club(Gallery) and Timo maas in one of the prog clubs/one of the defected crew in a some house club and a outdoor psychedelic party with a crowd of bout 5000...all in the same night(and day...gallery/psy parties). The secret is that everyone marketed their events to the crowds that like them. The difference between US Clubbing and european/south african clubbibg is that each club stays true to its own specific sound.Over here theres like every style on the same lineup..to much to keep me in one venue to long.In time it will become like that here(maybe not)...I HOPE SO.. AFRIKA ETN.FM GREENWAVE TRANCE DESTINY EVERY WED |

hmmm...not to be a dick....but you were not there in the discussions with me and joe....we (joe and I) thought it might actually work. But then after the show was booked, we learned that Afterlife had to open its doors at 11pm instead of the NORMAL 3am.....because Vicious was so much....On top of that, I had no Idea about planet of the drums at the time.....so SHUSH!!!!!!!!!

| its chemistry, a science of sorts
I havent been to club one in 4 years but im glad i went. on the facility side the sound does fade in certain areas, the the cabinets that are hung point towards the dance floor only. Having 3 seperate lounge areas its important to spread the soundwaves not just to the floor but all over. and the door staff are like the only staff members you dont walk away from clenching your fists. besides that I had a Great time Special Thanks to Lisa for her companionship she RAWKS and if she wasnt enough here comes her SISTER both incredible dancers. And her sisters friends (nice) Oh did i mention the wonderful addition her mother made at the event on MOTHERS Day MOM RAWKED as well. Brad F played some good tunes and when charlie approached the decks the my foot started twisting and my body followed juice did an excellent job. Victors track selection was very enjoyable not a track there i recognized which i highly appreciate ( i have heard all the others that people like now show me something new, AND he did just that) after victors set he came over to the girls and I and hung out REAL NICE GUY danced with all of them and had an enjoyable time . HOPE AFTERLIFE did you spot on as well Victor. Lisas mate is Darren Afrika which is why we were there to support Darren and the rest of monoceros rec and greenwave too bad those guys didnt stay to support Darren As always Darren did an incredible job playing a real cosmic gate theme making me tired of dancing soo much. i have known darren for almost a year now and this guy had worked all over this planet with some big names. The boy has TALENT and to share the music in ways with me THIS guy is all about sharing the love he has for music. Sorry Dallas made you want to go to california. but with more DJs like you here the scene here can be great again Darren, I will follow and support you at any venue anytime mate Keep it up, and up, and deffinately REAL |

When I use to play @ Orchid every once in awhile on saturdays I parked on the north side of yahoo's parking lot. There was not 1 car there last saturday. Deep Ellum was dead. | |

Darren wouldn't be shit in Dallas or the US for that matter if it wasn't for Eric and crew. Eric has worked so hard on re-mixing and producing such incredible tracks, he deserves a huge pat on the back! That boy spends his life on the computer producing and it is finally paying off! btw: I'd move to Cali if I was being hounded by INS too!

OK so here is the story...Victor Dinaire was already booked that nightand I was the one who put booked Victor in Austin and Mcallen Texas for that weekend.....all this was done BEFORE confirmation of Vicious Vic. I was then when asked to put the two together, i was told that it would be to expense.........Not to mention, Victor Dinaire really wasnt to keen on playing at an afterhours......The opportunity to work with afterlife, but they didnt want to spend that much money....so Mr Warren and DJ Simon, now you know.....

I love how everyone is proclaiming dallas/deep ellum/club one/the skeene dead after a poor turnout for a second tier headliner when two top tier headliners are in town. And by no means am I saying they are higher quality talent, simply have more name recognition. I know the guys busted their ass to promote, I tossed many a flyer to the wind. But I was well informed, which is all you can do.

Thank you...I have nothing more to say on the issue...Eric Meza, Myself, and Darren Afrika, and my girl all promoted, along with apoleese and other..Thanks to everyone who came, thanks to those who even thought about coming..... Apparently to some people, they believe that they can run their own parties and have tons and tons of people....I am glad that afterlife had a great turnout....I never once complained about the turnout at Club One.....Planet of the Drums had a great turnout, hell maybe even Cloud nine had a good turnout. The point is at least we tried. I thank everyone for all there support....No Drama.......All love....
