 | Bloc Party @ Gypsy Tea Room
Whoah, what a great show. I was front row, and had a fantastic time. They played the hell out of their songs. They also played a new song, which they had to start over on since the drums kicked in too early. That song was titled "Present". They ended their set with Pioneers; freaking jammed it out hardcore. Made me want more, lots more. The bass player was sick, apparently they did a show in mexico and drank some water. (or so they said) The bass player fell over on the second to last song, and ended up in the drums. So when they scooped him out, they were like "Ok, our mate is too sick, this is our last song". The drums were my favorite, hell the little dude playing the guitar was jamming it too, he was cute, like a little boy. The opening band "She wants revenge" was ok, they sort of sounded like interpol in some songs, and a bunch of other bands in other songs. Man you just dont know how bad i wanted to go to this...I have been looking forward to it for the longest...couldnt get off from work early enough...then when i finally was able to get off,headed over there and saw that everyone was leaving...im like wtf...i bet they kicked ass... damn it...owell...i chosed to go to TMS this weekend instead...

lots of familiar faces...even saw Jeff K for the first time in forever (awwww). they sounded just as good live as on record. everyone was in a great mood. nice one!
