Freq Nasty @ Seven (SATURDAY June 11th!!!!)

What can I say... this guy threw down as always!!! Never disappointed by Freq Nasty... and trust me I see him a few times a year between trips to San Fran and Burningman.

Plus he is the nicest guy to chat with...

The dance floor was pretty crazy but the funniest thing was the guy standing at the door to the DJ booth when Freq Nasty was there all by himself... the guy waited patiently for a minute or two then let himself into the DJ booth stepped up and tapped Freq Nasty on the shoulder to get his attention then stepped back out of the boot and waited at the door... Freq Nasty glanced over nodded and smiled (I assumed he just thought the guy was saying hey or something) then as I sat there watching for a second I figured since Sean wasn't around I would go and try to run interference so I walked up and said hey to the guy and he he said.....

"I was going to give the DJ a tip if he would play some trance."

at that time I glanced down and saw a bill folded up in his hand and started toi laugh and responded... "Do you realize who that DJ is??" and proceeded to explain to him very nicely how he was payed (I assume) thousands of dollars to come to this club from the UK and play that music. And the guy responded "Sorry dude I didn't realize" and walked off.

i left matt darey to see freq nasty and had LOADS more fun. matt just bored to tears. i was SO disappointed with his set. besides there was a lot more eye candy at seven.

thanks for a great night. too bad i got there at 3:15. still had a blast though.

Seven seems to always have a lively vibe on saturday nights, no matter who plays there, which is cool. I was hoping to catch part of the Freq's set, but i had to spin across the street and couldn't work it out.

What kinda stuff was he playing? (tracks/style) just curious

I was trying my hardest to make it out but was severely lacking in the funds dep.

Nasty put on a Freq show & I loved it .. What really stuck out in my mind of what he played was how he mixes vocals because its something that is not practiced often and if so .. not always well. Specifically he mixed "Red Out" by: Aquasky vs Master Blaster & "The Pressure" by: The Breakfastaz with the two vocals going off from each track simultaneously.. It was a pretty wicked mix. Good to see you Sladek, good to see you John wied!

My night at Seven started off shitty before I even had the chance to go in. (my girlfriend accidently locked her keys in the car as we were paying the parking attendant.) I only caught the first few songs Freq Nasty dropped before we bolted. I wasn't feeling what I heard. I'm assuming from the previous posts he brought the energy level up later on in his set.
