This show was better than I thought it was going to be. the place was packed and the vibe was pretty thick. some guy out front at the end was way wasted. overall good times.

Seriously, I was so surprised at the music that I heard come out of that show (I was outside promoting) and even more surprised at the crowd. Props to Full Access.

OK SERIOUSLY, This was the BEST night of my life.....IMO it was the best set so far from what i've heard from his online mixes on the Politics of Dancing 2 tour.....Trancey, High energy set just like I like it Fuck it i'll say it, i was filled with emotion and had tears in my eyes after PVD looked at me and gave me a thumbs up while i was the only idiot outside the gate that was raving to his encores at the end while the people that were passing out the flyers looked at me like i was a soccer hooligan...LOL....I simply said to them, "yeah, i'm a PVD fan" and they just smiled and gave me a nod.....that made me smile even more..... Brooke from Full Access was nice enough to try and get me an autograph after I asked her if it was possible....but they were really busy up on stage and she had to set up PVD's exit security....so I just waited for PVD's exit and was hoping to get him to sign my Vandit Berlin Shirt..... So there I am while the security people are trying to get PVD past all his screaming fans so he can leave, yelling in german if i could get an autograph, and as he is outside the fence a security guy/Police officer tells me to get out of the way (just doing their job so its cool) and then PVD tells the guy to chill out and he signed my shirt!!!!!! I was the happiest camper in the world at that moment and I said a few things to Paul in german and as I expected, he just smiled Last edited by Luftpilot9; 06-19-05 at 10:28 AM. |

Yeah Armando, I was going through my cell phone calling people up and telling them about him signing my shirt.....and was about to call you and the other trance friends I have but I figured i shouldnt bother anyone that late...except charlie since i saw him there..... Yeah about his love for his fans, that's why he's the greatest dj in the world because he is so Humble and plays for the Love of Music and his fans' Love of music as was displayed last night with me..... But I was ok with that yesterday, I can understand they have a job to do and after PVD motioned for him to stop for a sec so he could sign my shirt, the whole entourage stopped so thats cool.... Also Luckily a guy behind me took a pic of him signing it and said he will email it to me.....Thats so awesome!!! | |

Great night. We arrived in the middle of Granite and Phunk's set. A little like their 'gap from the motel (australia)' mix -- caught Rocket Ride and a few other tracks from it. I knew the Loungers wouldn't dance en masse until the headliners came on, so I got funky for a big, and chilled out to SnoWhite in the video bar. very bumpin. (and i got to touch her, haha) must have missed Greenwave, but Bonham set up PvD well as usual. Sexy dirty house gave way to more progressive as the Germans took over. And the crowd opened their ears, swallowed, and pronounced it good. And i saw the man in the duck costume, and just about fucking died laughing. There may even be a picture. Great crowd, i wish people showed up in droves for all the other great shows out there, but PvD is a name draw. But isn't it AWESOME to see how many people CAN show up for a show? What else was awesome...the visuals, the breakers, the short skirts, and of course, the Party Army, who brought down the stomp. Great job, Full Access. Even the dude in Fort Worth who serves me Subway daily knew about this show. That's marketing.

i didnt go last night but i will never forget seeing pvd at state palace theatre. it was one of the zoolu parties and goddam that guy brings a vibe all on his own he is a badass dj, period. he knows how to pwn the crowd, its just beautiful we are lucky to live in a city where there is so much talent coming through. (thanks to the promoters and clubs too of course) anyway, carry on. i just had to remember the time and give thanks for it...

i had a really good time. his set seemed so much different compared to last halloween when he played at club one. i think this set was better. he played a lot of his good stuff and you could tell he was LOVIN it. he had a great night. my hat's off to mr. paul van dyk. can anyone tell me if he was using Final Scratch or Serato Live on his PowerBook??? i am interested as he uses both, but just curious which one he used for last night... =) |
