I got in there at the very last minute and the vibe was glorious... the smiles were large the music was heavenly... and the assistance from Joel with that one gay guy jocking my shit, was appreciated... I wasn't there the whole time but I got to hear at least 45 minutes worth of great fucking music, with great fucking people... *kicks self for not getting over there earlier* |

He rocked that shit. He polayed some old school along with a few new jams. I arrived around 11 or so and the crowd was sparse. it oicked up as the night went on but never really was packed. I really enjoyed dancing all around the club to music that came alive when i lived in detroit. I also like the missy elliotn song and the crowd went wild when he played jack yo body. fun night for all but i'm kinda hung over today ![]() I would like to get a few more acts down to texas. I know a few guys from detroit that would like to come down but they are not sure of the venues. |

A great night overall. Early on Steve played a lot of perhaps his own mashups of great classics... everything from Missy Elliot over Kano to Chic mashed with Goody Goody. Around 1am till the end Steve lit the place up...just classic after classic...perhaps the pinnacle of the evening was when he dropped Mr. Fingers' Can You Feel It with MLK speech mixed...got chills at that moment and lost my head when he dropped Washing Machine at the end of the evening with the lights on...wish it could have gone later. thanks to Jose, Alvin, Joel and Woody for promoting this well and getting people out to hear and witness a historical figure in our global music community. You guys made this virgo very happy can't wait for Marshall!

D-O-P-E, dope. I thoroughly enjoyed what I heard, although I kinda wondered why it was hitfest '05, but Dallas needs that to kickstart the vibe sometimes, so you gotta go with the flow. The MLK/ "Can You Feel It?" mix was spot on and for me my high point of the night was very different than most. I fell out when I heard him play Bel Amour's "Bel Amour". THAT was my personal favorite moment of the night. Whatever Gospel track he dropped also got people into the groove and for the first time in a loooooooong time, people in Dallas sang along with intensity and feeling when he turned down the volume for everyone to chime in "Music sounds better with you." Fresco indeed hits the spot once more. |

I still can't believe that happened......its nice to know that its still possible to get Dallas people in a good enough mood, that they would actually sing lyrics out loud like that... wow
