I had a good time lastnight for the most part. I didn't care to much for the 1st part of her set. The minimal stuff was nice but I was just in the mood to hear some bangin techno. She was very much on point though. Oh yeah the upstairs bartender rawked! |

I loved it. She kept me dancing all night long. The crowed was so-so, i too could tell she wasn't into them.

I love arguments that attack the person and not the actual thoughts Anyways DJ SKazi for your information is Live pa and he also plays guitar during the show. His shows rake in the thousands that is why he is not in the states. And I can recognize talent no matter what genre. And for the second thing I know that it was minimal techno and some of it did have some housey slash techno vibes, dont take things so literally. I produce so you can check out my stuff, and if you want to say something about me find me out sometime and Ill show you whats up. peace

I had a fun time. I am not a big fan of the LL, but it was bearable last night. I love how once 2AM hit the place started to clear leaving the heads, and of course the dudes looking to score......it was quite the sausage fest by 3:30 in the morning. Anyhow, back to the review. I was impressed by MB's mixing skills. She was always overlaying her next track within a minute or so of her last transition. Her mixing was spot on most of the time. Her track selection was good.....I was digging the minimal/funkier techno sounds she was playing. I was expecting darker techno, but I am sure she knew Dallas' ignorance when it comes to good techno/good music for that matter. All in all she made my head bob, and my ass shake until my headache got bad. I would definitely like to see her again.....just outside of Dallas!!!! Saleem.......dude Skazi was played out like 4-5 years ago. His psy-trance USED to be good - but never great. His switch to a live pa has made him any better - just more of a gut-wrenching music producer....and I have played psy-trance for going on six years now, so it's not as if I haven't heard a lot of his old and current music. He may make thousands per show, but the quality of his incredibly formulaic music shows that he's going the same route of Infected Mushroom - catering to the mainstream sheep in order to further their income. That's not what the love of making music is about. |

there was nothing house about her sound... it was techno.. but we are entitled to our own opinions and that is your opinion, even though you have no idea what you're talking about. LOL it was good techno and saturday night made me excited and has me looking forward to my trip to socal in april to see carl cox.

I ran into Matt, Aaron, Core-ina ( ), and a few others that I hadn't seen in a while (since I don't hang at the Lounge as much as I used to) and had a decent time. It wasn't all to my liking, but the last half hour of her set was where she really seemed to get into it.Once she broke a smile, things got better. Ask Johnny Funk. Tee hee. |
