Dave Seaman @ Club Skizzo, Monterrey Mexico

Had an awesome trip this weekend to see Dave Seaman in the Motherland. We got to the club a little early and ended up going back to the hotel for a nap and woke up around 1:30am and head back the club. We got to the club and it was starting to get packed. The opening DJ was playing a real good set. I think he was using Ableton because he kept adding all kinds of effects to the tracks that kept making them better. I wish I knew his name but he was real good. Dave came on a little after 2am and he didn't quite open with a big track or anything banging. He took it down a notch and then he built from there. He played some Electro-prog-rock kind of tracks. He really knows how to work the crowd and he would build the tracks and right before the breakdown he would slow it down and then come back hard with the beat banging. The crowd was loving every second of it. He played some real good Group Therapy remixes. I really loved the crowd there and the club was real nice. It looked a little bit like Club 7 but it had this huge outdoor area which is where Dave played. I got a chance to meet him before he went on and then I later bumped into him at the airport. He is a real humble guy. We talked about his Audiotherapy label for a while and he mentioned some projects he had lined up with the Greeks. I told him it would be cool to see him play in Dallas and he no one in Dallas has ever asked him to play here. Oh well Es La Vida and its not my call. All together it was a fun trip and the show was great!

I wish I would have been there. I've heard nothing but great stories, about the parties coming out of Mexico... and that they eat it up down there. It's good to see/hear.

Sure would like to catch Hernan there.

yeah Nu:tone was playing in Mexico city the day after we played here, i wonder about the scene there and wonder if the drive would be worth the risk of getting in jail for being a honkey?
