 | Naughty Spring Break 06 DJ Contest @ LL
Since no one else has posted about this yet, I will. I had way more fun than I was expecting. I went into the contest having about 20 min of experience on CDJ's...so I was a little bit nervous about that. I also ended my set with 3 D&B tracks which I don't normally (ever) play...so that was new to me as well. After I was done and I could breath again tho it was a lot of fun. The room picked up around midnight and had a great vibe during the time I was there till about 1:30. One of the stand out sets for me was Left & Right, dem boyz threw down. They covered everything from funky breaks to D&B with a little turntabelism thrown in for good measure. It's been a while since I've seen them play, I think they have ben locked away in the basement practicing the whole time. Either that or molesting each other.... Anyway....it was a great time, saw lots of friends and had a great time. Thanks to Joe and Cooley and everyone else that put this together.
