![]() | The wait in line at Tiesto was just as long as his set. almost worth it!
First off, I'm glad my friends who spent 3-4 hours on the road coming to town for the Tiesto show were more hardcore about the wait in line. They went early since they couldn't get presales with those being cut off early. When I got there a little after 11 they had been waiting well over an hour already, and the line didn't budge until 12:15 so I missed all of Opencloud. I must have watched 50 people or more get frustrated and leave. Very poor planning. Don't ask me how exactly they are supposed to know how many will-call tickets were sold and how many door price people to let in at first, but for $30 I expect that- and more. The place was hot as hell and packed, but that's not surprising so no big deal. A+ on the nurse outfit girls. Tiesto's music was great. I was very happy with his performance. It didn't quite make up for my frustrations with the wait. First and last time I see a big headliner like him at Blue.

Just got back from seeing him. He played a pretty good show, but it seemed like he's been playing more house-y tunes lately. But nevertheless it was an enjoyable show. My gripe was that the set was too short, but what can ya do? Also, I did not notice any people with a "thuggish" appearance, to my surprise so Blue was fine for me. It was much cooler inside than it was at Seven when AvB was playing, and was much much nicer. Seven is a dump compared to Blue. List of tracks Tiesto played during his set: Jam & Spoon - Odyssey to Anyoona Karen Overton - Your Loving Arms Jes - People will go (Steve Forte Rio Mix) Late Night Alumni - Empty Streets Interstate - Remember Me Tiesto - Flight 643 and Lethal Industry Leama & Moor - Everything Matters (Matthew Dekay Mix) Electro-Prompt - Beside Me (Gothek D.C. Remix) Fonzerelli - Moonlight Party BT - Somnambulist (not sure what remix it was) That's all I can think of off the top of my head. |

That was a post I made on TranceAddict. I didn't feel like making another post on here so I just copied it from there to here, and they were talking about how Blue has gone down to shit over the years. | |

i'm willing to bet that if you booked Tiesto at C&W bar there wouldn't be any shitkickers there. food for thought.

that's my problem right there. "see a headliner" i'm not there to SEE a headliner. i'm there to DANCE to a headliner. this is DANCE music or did some people forget?? that would drive me nuts to not be able to find a place to dance at a dance show. even at armin, as packed as it was, i was able to find a decent spot to get down. having to jockey for a position in the middle just to raise your hands during a breakdown gets old after awhile. you can barely manage to move your hips much less anything else. call me crazy, but i like to dance at shows. and i need a lil space.
