Jes @ One - Dallas Dance Music - Dallas nightlife, music, tickets, and more

It's always interesting to see vocalist's live and see how much of their "talent" is studio...let me just say that Jes is the real deal. Girl can bring the goods! She did a bunch of her new tracks which had a lot more of an electronic/guitar/gritty sort of feel to them, very cool stuff. Of course she did As The Rush comes, and she did it better live than it's ever sounded on vinyl...she's also very good performer as well. Great energy and crowd interaction the entire time, and she hung out after she finished singing instead of bouncing as soon as she was done like most headliners do.
Greenwave also did a really good job, it was good to hear a lot of their new tracks. I can't wait to get my hands on some of their new stuff, *cough* Eric *cough* you slacker....

I had a really good time at this show, thanks to Bret and Steven for having me out, see ya at the next one!

Jes is coming out with a new full length album. She has been in the studio working on it in LA it should release early fall. Thank you everyone for your support. From Simon, Deep Progress, and of course Greenwave. Sess and Soularsync and Transplant upstairs. EVERYBODY GET EILL!!!

I had a great time upstairs and got to check out Jes for a minute, as well. Thanks to all the freaks that flooded the room around 2 or 3 and got nasty. There was all kinds of dry humping and rafter hanging!

It was nice to meet James Kelly (twice, opps) and see nuwanda, ringel, tessai, et al. BTW, Ben makes great drinks upstairs. Thanks for having me out guys!

would have made it out there but i was already playing at the Second Sun show.

I wish all of our promoters in Dallas would just work together for big huge events with several headliners instead of all these seperate small events.

Hopefully we will all learn someday

If I had the capital to start throwing events then I would def try and coordinate larger scale events with all the promoters in town.

just my thoughts...doesn't really mean im pointing fingers at anyone. Dallas has always been like this and Im not sure i ever see it changing

I agree it would be bliss. I guess some people just dont understand the kind of separation it cause's. Anywho sorry I missed your set last friday, I was playing this night, so I didn't get a chance. Sorry oh and Happy B-Day!
