Pros
music was great as expected from Love, crowd was a good size considering 90% of the people there were with me lol. not empty but plenty of room to get down. haven't been there since sand bar days so good memories.

Cons:
Sold that horrid Monster over Red Bull, and no manderin vodka. normally who cares right? well i drink manderin red bulls so it sucked. i was given a Citron and Monster and it fucked my stomach up. had to switch drinks up. THEN, at 1:50 they kicked everyone out. no last call, no nothing.

not impressed i must say myself.

Wax rules and those guys that are running it get mad respect from me. They spent weeks of their own money to keep people coming in there with no profit being made. I was even paid for DJing on their first night open when they didn't have a liqour license and were giving away booze all night... and that was after I told them not to pay me since they weren't making a dime.

I am sure they had a good reason to kick everyone out when they did. Don't let it keep you from going there again.

well, i give respect for that and i don't like to judge usualy on 1st impression but the door guy was borderline rude about the situation. i know for a fact the past few fridays have been less than decent so for there to be easily a 700% increase in business and turn around and treat people like that is bad business imho. other nights i cannot vouch for, maybe the other nights make up for it in business. i knew most people there and more than a few spoke up about the same thing. i have been long time friends with frank, for that i might give it another go. bring my own red bull and flask though lol.

WOW! five WHOLE years! we have royalty amongst us! whats your real name so i can see if i have seen your name in the headlines or on one of my recruitment list for top advisors.

like i said, i guess you knew that then didn't you. all shit aside, even without customer service being an issue, last call gets you a rush of orders from the bar so it was a bad financial decision too. probably would help them not have to pay dj's out of pocket and from profit. that is the idea to running a business isn't it? i run mine that way. i might be wrong, though, i have money so i don't care. you a finance expert too?

Let me try to clarify what I meant...

Wax opened their bar, and then had issues getting their liqour license after they were open.

So instead of closing the doors to wait for the license, they kept it open... while not charging a cover and continued paying for booze out of their pockets to give away for weeks. They also paid their DJs to come play regularly.

I don't see that happen alot when smaller places are opening.

Now go argue amongst yourselves piss-ants. I like Wax and what the owners stand for and I was giving them props on that.
