I LOVED it. I know all he played were your typical Euro-banger anthems but I don't get to hear those much live so I was in HEAVEN. He had me moving all night. I had to leave early so I was curious...did he ever play Steppin' Out?? I was dying to hear him play it and figured he probably closed with it

pretty close to the end of the set. I was glad to hear "world hold on" on something besides a defected podcast.

yeah I had already walked to Wax when I got reminded about it. Sounds like I didn't miss too much, though. I like just about every other OM artist, but Kascade does kinda put sand in the vagina sometimes.

Do you not go out?? That track has been played into the ground in dallas.

Overall I was dissapointed. I guess for a headliner I don't want to not only know every tune the second it kicks in, but have damn near everyone of them in my own personal sets.

Honestly... aside from the fact that some of the tunes were his own production he played the same stuff that is played all around town. Candleroom, Fuse, Obar, Republic, etc... you could have heard that same set at any of those places. That's not always a bad thing, but for Kaskade I would have expected to be taken beyond the Ministry of Sound Annual 2006.

I can understand the direction he's going... it will make him millions and extend his reach far beyond the deep house heads of the west coast and america in general. I really enjoy his new stuff and enjoyed the 'vibe' of the set. It had everyone dancing from start to stop... but along the same lines... yet again Dallas falls victim to the god-like 'headliner'. Where are those same people to support the other nights around town playing the exact same stuff? Is it the atmosphere, drink prices, misinformation, etc. that keeps them away?? Kaskade is a name, and I know that... theres no denying that... but it still left me dissapointed at the state of dance in dallas 300 odd days of the year when a headliner isn't playing.

Oh well... such is the life of a local dj.

Because Dallas is lazy, ice infested "heads", who could care-less about Locals who play the same music if not better than most "Headliners" that come through. That's why I don't rely on this msg board at all or 95% of the "heads" in the house scene.

Now, don't get me wrong. There are cats who come out and support, but it's few and far between.

Pretty Sad if you ask me.
