Thanks!!!!

Ok... where to start...

Friday night started out great. Dinner with the UN guys at Sevan... then Zubar. I stuck to my guns and only drank Patron... think I had about 8 or 9 through the night. Thanks to Nick and everyone else who bought me shots. Got to finally meet some folks I hadn't yet. Great to meet everyone. Lots of familiar friendly faces. Lots of hot women (Nikki, Sarah, Kelle, Michelle, and some I don't know). Rithma showed up. Coolest cat ever, and Sunshine (his girlfriend) was a Texas sweetheart as well. The night was great. I apologize to those who I may not have spoken to alot... just way too much goin on and the tequila was feelin pretty good.

The $5 guest list pretty much ruled the night with over 100 people on it. When Jeremy and I talked about doing this show, I told him all I cared about was covering the costs for Rithma, and making my regular pay for the evening... which is pretty much exactly what we did. We were thinking that we might make a bunch of extra money from the TX/OU walkins, but we didn't. It would have been nice, but I am actually glad that it wasn't packed out full of college kids... more room for the true boogie family and friends.

Rithma played some great tunes. I recorded the night and will be uploading it later today or tomorrow... probably just his set... mine was nothing special. Some great pictures were taken as well, although the ones I was in I looked pretty toasty. Whas up with those wide eyes???? I think Scholwinski took over my brain.

Afterwards, Jeremy and I left about 2:30 and went back to my house. Normally, I am not one to have a huge party at my place, but I got there and about 50 folks were there hanging out. I actually didn't care at all and it was nice to see so many folks there. Normally, I would NEVER let people hang out in my studio (that's my baby), but Austin was playing records, some girl was on the keyboard, another person on the congas, and Rob the bartender was dancing around the room. Good times.

I wandered around throughout the evening. Watched some folks smoke out. Drank lots of beers. A BIG thank you to everyone who brought over some alcohol. It actually lasted awhile. Due to funds, Amy and I weren't able to stock up on the booze like we would have liked to, but friends pulled through and made it happen... which was great. I hate going to an afterparty when there's nothing else to drink.

Everyone was completely responsible and respectful of our house and nothing was trashed or broken at all. Nobody let the cats out of the bedroom. Nobody broke anything in the studio. SOMEONE left my Krush Groove record out... and the only problem with that was that I didn't get to hear it played!!!!

A big BIG thank you to everyone. I really, really appreciate the respect and smiling faces of all folks who came over.

Highlights were Rithma and his girlfriend showing up at the house and then passing out in their car out front. They never made it in. Fernie was there and true to form was completely trashed. He attempted to try and fall asleep first on the couch, then on the front porch. I wasn't about to have that so I called him a cab. When the guy showed up, I poured Fernie into it and the guy argued with me for about 5 minutes about taking him. He kept saying "I can't understand where he wants to go!!!" I said, "I DON'T CARE! Take him ANYWHERE!" Finally, I got Fernie to slur his address and the guy took off. Glad he made it home. Folks dwindled out in the wee hours. Someone told me Kelle got in a bit of trouble when De called. Gerard and Jeff left the house to go home and came back in about 3 minutes later and said they were in no condition to go anywhere. Glad to see Tim showed up. Rick passed out on the floor face down. Someone said that a bunch of folks had some of those little pills????? Never saw them. At about 7:15 we called Slip Inn to see if they were open. Kenny, Amy, Aaron, Little Brent, and myself staggered down the street to Slip Inn and left the three guys to sleep it off for a bit. We got there and Kelly had stabbed a screwdriver through her hand so I spent awhile bandaging her up. We stayed till about 10:30am and then STUMBLED back to the house. Finally, everyone left. Brent and Amy sat in the yard talking religion while I went to bed. I woke up about 12:30pm and they had all gone to Kenny's to go swimming.

wow. What a night.

Once again, thanks to everyone for having fun, respecting each other and our place, and providing me with a damn good birthday party.

And no, I am not 63... fuckers. Stop calling me old. In 4 years and two days when I hit 40 (my actual birthday is this Wednesday), THEN you can call me old. Until then I am fine with 'the next youngest working Dallas DJ alongside Joe Castillo'... even though a few others have a few years one me.

Thanks again!!!!

I dont know why cabbies are so apprehensive of me.

Either way thank you.

He just couldn't understand you. Pretty damn funny. Do you remember taking the couch pillows out on the front porch and laying down???? Hilarious.

I'll holler at you about that record. Maybe meet up this weekend?

Well, Jeremy and I had to wrap up at the club. I think we got there around 2:30 or 2:45. Bummer I missed ya. But then again, I could only name a few folks who were at the house. It was a bit blurred... more from just being overwhelmed at so many people.

the neighbor two houses down was sitting in his living room with 4 buddies and they were watching all the people walk up. Folks were parked 2 blocks down the street. He told Amy that at one point his buddies wanted to leave and go somewhere and he told them he was not going anywhere because he wanted to watch all the fine ladies walking by. Pretty funny. Good thing too... his buddies ended iup getting arrested around the corner.

Once again, thanks to everyone for being so cool and respectful.Amy and I were talking about it again last night. Nothing broken. No mud smeared on the carpet. In fact, the only thing that was a bit out of sorts was the chips on the kitchen floor. Looked like someone did the Mexican hat dance on a bag of tortilla chips!

We'll have another party soon!
