the guys are real cool to, they ended up goign to Eden afterhours and one of them asked to play after Voodoo & Serano was on.. BAD ASS NIGHT!!

WOW, awesome show. This was my first time to Afterlife. It's a pretty interesting place....it's kinda hard to describe, it's unconventional, unstructured somewhat, free spirited, unpretentious, yet comfortable. You can be whoever you are and can wear anything you want to wear, no one cares, everyone seems to be accepting of everyone. There is a giant inflatable mattress that looks like it is about 15 feet x 15 feet for those that feel like jumping up and down on it, there are people that breathe fire, dance with fire, there is a main stage which is within a warehouse that opens up to the main area which is dirt/gravel. There is another warehouse structure behind that which has another room with a DJ and cool visuals with lasers, and then there is what looks like used to be an old office building that has been converted into a couple of smaller rooms with additional DJs spinning different genres of music including drum n bass. There seems to be a little something for everyone. There are plenty of sofas and chairs to sit down if you want to or you can keep walking around and rotating from each of these areas and listen to the different music. It was a real festive/festival kind of atmosphere. Deepsky came on at 2am and played an outstanding set. Afterlife is a place that I will revisit soon.

is badass. The first time I went I was speechless.
It's the best venue in Dallas, IMO.

I played in the "chill" room and had an opportunity to dust off some of my old trippy shit that I hardly get to play anymore, had a great time.

Man, Deepsky is AMAZING. I had a great time playin at this. Thanks to Steven, Binx, Jeremy, and everyone else that helped to make this possible. The sound in the main area was insane. It actually hurt (in a good way) to stand in certain places. LATE threw down the hotness as usual. Good hangin with ya Trav.

What is up with the BYOB area. Its like Freedom town from Scarface. I felt caged. Its was funny because there were all these fucked up people walking around, and we were the bad ones all pent up like animals. Still, its badass that they are doin Byob.

lol...we were going for more of a Mad Max feel...but I guess Freedom Town works too.

Typically we use the shell for the BYOB area, but with Deepsky set up in there last night we had to improvise.

Am I the only one that was a slight bit dissapointed? I mean yeah they played a good set, but either my hearing is getting fucked, or it sounded they played the same fucking track over and over..

and playing @ 2 pm? Seriously.. 1:00 at the latest would have been perfect... For all us fuckers who don't have Bawls and Rooster Booster pumped thru an IV I was dissapointed the shit took so long to kick off.
