Friday 7/5 - Dallas Dance Music - Dallas nightlife, music, tickets, and more

Boy howdy I tell ya... it started off pretty fucking weak then turned into a fun evening. I raced back into town from a fun holliday with my girl down at my parents lakehouse. I had just enought time to hit the 3 "S's" and pick out some rekkids to play b4 Micro at DNA. Well... Micro didn't pull a crowd so he decided not to play and I had only brought soooo many rekkids so i stopped at about 1 something. The dude didn't even come up to the booth to say Hi to me. considering all the support i've given him over the years you'd think.... oh well.. nevermind. The evening did, however, turn out great. Who wants to hear micro anyway when you've got real talent a few blocks away. I took off for the LL and headed upstairs to the rooftop and heard some really good music... It was great for me because it was the perfect compliment to the shit i had been playing earlier. The Thin Men were kicking ass! Shaun, Little vocal Bitch, & Doug owned that rooftop! I met a few new peeps and hung out with my homies. It was nice... i didn't mind the humidity because vibe was thicker. We then ventured off to Seven and hung out with Jay "rotary knob" Winborn and had some fun hangin there before I had to jet to the radio station and voice track my 10am shift (i gots ta get some sleep!). It was good seeing everyone last night & sorry to Brillo about his girl leaving b4 she boke the curfew laws. hopefully she'll get an extention on next years Prom.

Word to Scan for having us out... you guys do a great job....

Shouts to all the homies that came out to hang, you know who you are, made us feel good to see the whole gang out gettin drunk and gettin raw. Glad you enjoyed yourself Merritt....The roof was definitely the spot to get down to truly funky grooves. Maybe someday LL management will let the THIN MEN do our thing inside so the Loungers can experience something a little deeper and a little more soulful than what was going on in there last night. (NOTHING against that genre, but I think Dallas' club goers might appreciate some music that has a little more feeling to it every once in a while instead of bangin every week....not that banging is bad, I like it sometimes too)

BUT, we could completely rock the Loungers if they were able to hear us through a big system, I mean we could have those Loungers in a frenzy if given the chance ....However, the system on the roof got the job done though.
Props to the Sky High guys, nice sets by all. You guys are doing a great job up there.

So, good times once again...props to all the DJ's at the LL for sweating it out for the people all night long.

Nice seeing Merritt up there. Big thanks to the Thin Men, they tore it up on that deck. Special thanks to everyone who made it out. The deck is looking better and better every weekend. Hope to everyone out next weekend.
