"FLOW" - My Experience

Well, me and my crew got out to Hawkwood about 11:30 last night and we were thinking there wasn't gonna be anyone there because of the party at the Bronco Bowl. Well first, I'd never even been to a Psy Trance party, so I didn't know what to expect. So as I'm walking in the door, you hear the down-tempo room and I'm thinking..."great, a waste of $20" Anyway, I eventually see some more people I know, and then I start dancing. Then, after I've started dancing, the music hits me and I can't fucking stop. My friends ended up leaving at like 3 and there I was at 6:30 STILL dancing my ass off. It was great. I met this guy named Travis and his friend (i'm sorry I forgot his name...he kept forgetting mine all night too) *LOL* Aaaaanyway, all 3 of us danced til the sun came up then headed back to one of the apartments. Oh, and thank you for whoever brought all the munchies to the party...after a night like that of dancing, we were famished. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I had an amazing time and met alot of badass people. (you know who you are) *WINK* I'll definitely be at the next Psy Trance party that comes into town. BTW, is there anyone else in here I met last night?

P.S. There was a cute little guy running around with a camera all night and told me he was gonna send me all the pics, so I'll post them as soon as he sends them to me. =)

Unfortunately, after not being able to flyer at the Bronco Bowl... I just headed home.

But he said they had a great time getting to spin fire all night long!

Heheheh Bwahahaha! I saw Trent...setup my mind machine 10 ft away from where they were all spinning fire. He's pretty killer, and Yabyum was impressive as well...if only we could get some of the Austin psy spinners up here...*drool* (*swoon* I miss Movements Gallery *sniffle*).

Anyway, was an awesome event as usual, but I probably didn't meet you as I was a bit on the tired side (2 hrs of sleep) to be very sociable. I did, however, finally get to meet Mustafa and a few other kind souls.

oh, and yeah, the poi dancers were badass too. i did see trent and also yabyum. i'm really looking forward to another event like this.

Bunny... your husband's a BAD ASS! Yabyum.. you did a great job too... and whoever the other guy was, sorry don't remember names, you rock as well.

Brittany.. I saw you there, you were so cute and a good dancer! Glad you had fun at your first "dose" of psy, hope to see you around, come down and do the Austin psy scene sometime!

always brings me happiness to run into my chosen family & so many were there on saturday.

happiness was a conscious decision & it just took 45 minutes to drive there =D

I just wanted to say THANK YOU to every single one of you that came out to Flow with us.

You all brought and contributed some amazing energy and it built and built and built to a beautiful vibe. Without you and that energy, there is NO party. Your support, dedication and energy means the world to me and everyone else involved in UMP.

It was great seeing so many of the familiar faces as well as many many new faces. The crowd was very diverse and mixed really well, which is exactly what we want. The dancefloor was going off, which is so rare these days and is work in that heat. Thanks for putting out that work.

I would have like to have met more of you and intoduced myself and found out how you heard about the event, but was either usually very busy or trying to have my own slice of goodness on the dance floor. So, hello!!

There was NO issues. We had 1 noise complaint and no incidents of any illegal nature. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart, from those that helped behind the scenes to the dancers and trancers that set it off. The event almost broke even, so close that the loss does'nt matter at all.

I deeply apologize for the technical issue that occured after Alienswedes set and the impact that it had on the event overall from a vibe and energy perspective. Every DJ/PA seriously tore it up and played phenominal sets in both areas all night.

See ya on the 27th at the same place(HAWKWOOD) for Massiv!!!
It's going to be *so* good.

flow, for the most part, flowed nicely.

we arrived @ 10:30, and hit the bar!!
wandered around talking with people, and then did a bit of drumming and dij work in the chill room.

of course, we had to go check out ewie in the main area.
the boy was just jamming. i enjoyed his set much more this evening than at pulse. more my speed, i guess.

before eric came on, chatted with the door people and wandered around a bit until the guys from int.string were properly jamming. (sorry i missed the bulk of your set, eric). i was impressed with the new IS material, and happily danced and danced and danced. thanks for the CD, aaron. diggin' on salvia.

dylan ripped it up proper old school. and toned it down toward sunrise. great set!

ahhhh, good party, guys. looking forward to the next one!

to everyone who crossed my path, thank you for making my evening that much more enjoyable. it was good to see all the old faces, and put some new faces to old names. hope to see you all again in the future.

Flow was a great time, its kinda hard not to have a good time at hawkwood, that place just has a way of squashing bad vibes. It was nice to meet you Brittany, glad you got to hang out at my apartment for a little bit before the party, and Im sure there are a few other people that I met out there but I have long term loss of short term memory. And to Casey Lee, youre a punk! j/k
