![]() ![]() | Muse Muse Muse Muse Muse Muse stole the show!
Thank you to Edge for a great event. On the main floor MUSE stole the bloody show with their wizardry and in my opinion are the best band on the planet right now.Not even those metal bands can stop them. Unfortunatly my current fav band had to get used to a smaller stage(a major disapointment with the promoter there from what they used to like being one of thr headliner @ Glastonbury or doing venues for over 100 000 people @ Wembly) - THE KAISER CHIEFS owned the 2nd floor. besides the water prices blah blah blah and the rest it was an awesome day.

Didn't know Muse was coming through town. Wish they'd frequented Dallas this often when I was more into them five years ago. What songs off of Absolution did they play? Anything off of Showbiz?

![]() | What show were you at? Muse did sound good. After them, though when the sound was clusterfucked through the 3 headliners I thought the Edge's potential for a great event took a rapid downhill slide into a terrible, horrible event. |

good times. dropping daylight, placebo and the fucking killers were the highlight of the day. We did not make it over the fence till right after muse was over, well we did the first time but we got caught. I purchased my tickets like a week or so before that show, and could not get general admission, and the seats i got, left us no choice but to improvise. |

i sat in the back, i was in the very front, i was on the sides.... i walked all over that venue looking for good sound, but it was never heard. in fact, i would say that the sound was the worst in the very back, looking straight at the stage. people all around me were complaining, except the complete drunktards and the 12-15 yr olds. i only had 3 beers the whole day, so i know what i heard wasn't alcohol influenced. hands down this concert had the worst sound i've ever heard. if you weren't there and would like to get a good feeling of what we all heard then i recommend you: go buy 4 cheap ass radios, and play them on full blast, and let them all play different stuff. be sure and muffle them, turn them off and on randomly, etc throughout the songs. you will then officialy have the edgefest 16 sound experience. |

Everything sounded fantastic in the pit. And yes the ....Motherfuckin' Muse!! I felt sorry for AFI and My Chem...trying to follow that. It was a great time...if all you can bitch about is sound, then we did a good job. Worst concert you have ever heard...blah. I'm a sound engineer and I can tell you it was not that bad at all. You were hearing reflections....get over it. Quote:

my only complaint, was the onslaught of crowd surfers. yeah crowd surfing is cool, i used to do it, but damn having to look over your shoulder every 2 min to avoid some teen's foot/elbow/taint/forehead from slamming in to you kinda distracts you from the band. or maybe i am just getting old ![]() *the chick i was with was hardcore, fucking wore flip flops in the pit areas. i would have cried like a girl 5 min into that shit, for sure could not have gone all day. props |

"if all we can bitch about is the sound?" ITS MUSIC. WE HEAR IT. THE SOUNDS. thats like saying "if all you can bitch about is there being no water, then you must have had a great time swimming!" as for the "im a sound engineer," i work part-time as one too. i wasn't hearing reflections. i was hearing nothing at all. from the other thread: Quote:

I paid 120.00 to go and hear music.... NOT JUST NOISE.... You guys owe everyone there that paid to get there an apology.... We came to hear music. And no, if we are bitching about your horrible sound then no, you did not do a good job. You did a nasty, terrible, clusterfucked job, and it showed. | |
