![]() | Tres Chicas & 3 clubs, LL, RJ, & Seven Fri, 7/12
Last night three girls tweedle-dee, tweedle-dum, and tweedle-blonde (dat's me) went out for a night on the town. First we hit up the LL, had a great time. Got our drink on danced around a bit, checked out all the various locations within the lounge (it really IS like 3 clubs in one on Fridays). Great music all around. Loved the music in the main room as usual, Manndogg's early set started off nice but we needed to head to the next location. Next stop was RJ---Walking through the main room to get to the Ruby Room was a bit troubling as usual, but it was worth all the harassment once we finally made it. Sergio Techini's set was SO VERY FINE. My girlfriends and I didn't even feel like we were in Dallas any more, we decided to start our summer vacation early and "made-believe" we were all in Berlin. It was a fun time, the Ruby Room (Uh, I mean Berlin) really gets rockin'. It's a great venue that side room, not so small you get that 'I'm partying in a coat closet' feeling, and so large that you get that 'I'm lost in a 5.2 million square foot wharehouse' feeling. One of the bartenders gave us really great service, not something you usually get in a club so we were mucho impressed.(But what do you expect from a club in Berlin?) The best part was watching Israel (of Bill's) do the Pee-Wee Herman dance and the Washington Apples courtesy of Mr. Nicole (hehehehe) Thank you! Next we went to Seven (a club in Hamberg, our next trip on the "make believe" vacation) We were all very excited to go to seven as we all had been left with bad tastes in our mouths from prior visits. So we get there and uh, there's this huge line at the door wow all these people waiting to get into this packed little club we're thinking it must be great. Well the line I guess is only for the "little people"*please note sarcasm* because if you're on the list you can walk right in. There was no reason for it, they were just "holding the line." Silly, just silly and pretentious. So we, uh walk right in and head straight for the ladies room because we all had unfortunately already "broken the seal". So in the ladies room we run into a lot of other ladies who had just gotten off "work". They were just in there, you know, "powdering" their noses. Finally we make it out to the Dance floor. ____GOOD TIMES____ DJ Jay Winborne was at he Wheels and he did them justice! Very excited to hear Jay spin, I see now why all the "little people" put up with the B/S at the door. The vibe in there was thick, and it was all thanks to our imaginary journey to Hamberg, and the DJ that took us there. (If you close your eyes, the right music can take you anywhere.) We then headed back to the LL for Manngogg's late night set, always (gotta get my weekly dose of breaks) my favorite, he spun the breaks that made my booty shake. There were old-schoolers who showed up just for his late night set, much fun as always to see them shakin' their groove thangs. Tweedle-dee, Tweedle-dum, and Tweetle-blonde all want home happy.(together) The end. |

Ahaaaaaaaa! That is the time of our arrival. I get it! Apologies in order, very sorry. This makes much sense!!!! The door guys were VERY nice to US. All my girlfriends and I had a good time we LOVED your set. You are the perfect "fit" in my opinion for the club. The vibe was "thick" once we were on the Dance floor, and the beats were just right. Thanks for a great time in "Hamberg." |
