Tribal Elements @ Lake Whitney (May 16 - May 20)

It was absolutely wonderful!

The weather was perfect all weekend long, the water was refreshing, there was tons of variety of music, ridiculous amounts of beer and BBQ, long-time friends, no distractions from the law, no glow sticks, and non-stop fun for several days!

Many, many thanks to Jesse and Josh (and many others) for putting together yet another successful Tribal Elements event. It's such a unique and special event, and its always hard to return back to the "real world".

Off-roading, Cliff-diving, Volleyball, Swimming, Sun-bathing, Cooking on the Grill, Dancing, Drum Circles, Fire Spinning, High-Definition Visuals, Turntable Tagging, Dominos, Poker, Frisbees, Dogs...the list could go on and on...

See you next year!!!

Fokin Wicked Time Indeed!

My first tribal elements experience and I'll def. be back next year. Jesse & Josh, props for organizing the event and for all the hospitality! The amenities were top-notch -- thanks for bringin out the gear, providing the gas for the genny, and the high def projector was a nice touch!

Lee & Red, thanks for letting us hijack your grill to cook our grub, I'll make sure to clean it next time

:Memorable sets:

Drew played a nice atmospheric D&B set
Albert Martinez killed it with some classics
Monarch workin the experimental downtempo
John & Josh taggin it up with some jackin house & classics

Met a lot of cool folks and got to see some old friendly faces!! From what I remember of the weekend it was good times all around!!

I like how the first person who posted made mention of "no glow stix" but then turned around and praised "fire spinning". Is one better then the other for some reason?

I wasn't trying to make a point, just trying to be funny. I can appreciate the glow stick, but fire is a mean son of a bitch...ask my friends.

I found the vibe to be very comfortable, for us 30-somethings all the way down to the 5 year olds. Psy videos and music were played at times, but it never felt like a rave.

I wanted to escape the club environment - relax with my friends outdoors and listen to some great music, etc. It was great!

Words can't really describe how much fun this camping trip was. I felt so blessed to be a part of it. Jeremy when we were driving back from the cliffs and I looked over your shoulder at the speedometer and you hit at least 115. And after that fly out issue with the lawnmower on the way down there.... My heart was about to beat out of my chest. lol. Good times. Liz and Lee you two were awesome. So good to meet you both.

My favorite parts were launching water balloons with glow sticks in them at the next camp. Getting up at 7am 4 days in a row to go swimming. Volley ball game girls V boys. Girls won! The local yokel who asked if we were part of a church group after commenting on those dang ol big ol TV's And of course just getting back to nature and chillin with good friends and good tunes. It was hard getting back to the real world. I want to go back!! THANK YOU TRIBAL EMENTS!
