Its about that time to let ya in on the lowdown on the hoedown, so w/o further delay:

Sunday, July 7: Seven was the place to be - well at least now it is!! For all of those that remember Seven on Sundays - that's pretty much it!! It's a memory as the greatness that is Mikey Tilton (DJ ZUUL) has taken over as the resident DJ @ Seven on Sunday nights spinnin' the best in progressive/tribal house. So if you are looking for someplace that doesn't have anything resembling the retro sound (not saying that there's something wrong w/ it!!), then Seven is the spot!! They just need to get more people in there!!!! Mikey, as usual, RULES!! another flawless set!! Check him out & you will see & hear what I mean!!

Tuesday, July 9: Indulge @ Moosh went off pretty well as our crowd stayed through out the whole night till close. Sean Sladek threw down some great progressive breaks, shtuff that I haven't heard before! I hope to see everyone that was there to come back as Brillo of Ridgeback Recordings & one half of the Funkytown Foundation, will be the guest DJ this coming Tuesday.

Wednesday, July 10: Another cool night @ The Village as Wes Glock opened up the night w/ his style of progressive which made me wish there was more people that came out early to listen to him. Wes was off the hook, especially for someone whom I've never heard live. He layed down alot of bass-heavy tracks that shook the room! Granite & Yorek were the other guests of the night. As usual, these cats never cease to amaze me! I just wish the set up was on the dancefloor!! That night, I was in a state of conflict as Cradlerock, Adam Morrow, & DJ Phleye rocked the patio. Despite the humidity kickin' my ass, I stayed for a bit to check these guys out as they did their damage cuttin' & scratchin' & housin' everyones' body! Aqualight, well what can I say!! The whole night w/ these DJs on dex complemented each other!! From progressive to tribal house to dark bangin' progressive tribal house - WHEW!!

Thursday, July 11: Orchid was the place to be as The Thin Men minus Shaun Slaughter, plus Chivian & plus - myself! It was a great night as the people that remained danced till the lights came on. Chivian w/ his dark tribal set tore it up & I had to compete w/ that!! Jeez! Always a good time when @ Orchid.

Friday, June 12: Orchid? Two nights in a row? Welll it happened as Edwin Watson celebrated his birthday as he, Squiky, & Kelvin Andrews, aka Soul Mekanik, let the whole bar have it!! Great vibes & an awesome variety of sounds made the night so fun that it didn't stop until 3AM!! Very fun, so if you missed out, well then... Not a person sitting the whole night for more than one song as he kept the vibe going w/ his style of funky house w/ some electro & breaks (I thought I heard some electro!!) Down the street, I checked out the new club Indigo, as Shaun Slaughter & DJ Merritt spun progressive & tribal house. The venue is pretty cool as during the week the venue caters to live bands & the weekend belongs to the DJs. The dance area is dark when you enter & the DJ booth is up stairs over looking the crowd. Interesting. I can see this place making a run at the venues in Deep Ellum.

Saturday, July 13: Jack's Pub - I wished I could've stayed as I had to spin @ Firehouse. But from what I heard, The Deep Nova crew to' it da fuck up! I showed up & stayed until 10PM but these guys did not play around! They went after it dark & pumpin' @ 9:30 & didn't regret it!! When I left, Nerio & Club Wes were getting the night started. @ Firehouse the place was packed & the choons were a plenty as Noel "NTrain" Keith, Doug D, & myself played to a packed house. (BTW thanks to Corey Spangler & the Mrs. & Geoff Haselgrove & all their friends for making it out!) We threw down West Coast House to start it off & ended w/ lighter bangin' prog house. The night took care of itself!

My week in review..

Sunday: Spent all day in the loft of someone's apartment that I had met at Freedom Fest with some friends.

Monday: Continued to do nothing in the loft. Forgot to call into work. Ate lots of Taco Cabana and then headed home and went to bed.

Tuesday: Woke up. Went to work. Came home. Spent three hours on the phone. Went to bed.

Wednesday: See Tuesday.

Thursday: See Wednesday.

Friday: See Thursday. Or Wednesday.

Saturday: Woke up, spent all day trying to find someone a ride to Austin from Houston for Higher Learning, but failed miserably. Slept a lot. Ate some Schlotzky's. Watched Shrek for the 99th time. Spent a few hours on the phone then went to bed.

And here I am at work.. in recovery.. I should slow down.

SoBe Sundays was off the rack again! Thats my week in review!

i didn't really do to much this past week, however the few things i did do were far beyond satisfactory!

WED. ~ Sol Y Luna (this is my SpOt)
THURS. ~ it rained & I slept zzzZzZzZzZzzzz..................
FRI. ~ Club Wes (outfuckingstanding, incredible DJ's pumping out good shit.....all night/morning long!)
SAT. ~ Jack's Pub ( I had a great time! Thanks Deep Men....LOL I mean Deep Nova and the Thin Men of course)

Whoever that was that slept all week - sounds like that person needs to come to Moosh tonight!!! Here's a challenge to those that read my week in review but don't go!! Come out tonight & give us YOUR review for our night @ Moosh!!! I'd be real interested in this!! If you accept this challenge, show up @ 10:00PM tonight (I won't get there till 11:30PM, but Brillo & -jv- will be spinnin' @ 10) & chat & mingle w/ all of us - Im dyin' to see who you people on DRaves are!!!! This will be fun!! If you choose not to accept then expect your computer to shut down after closin' this out!!! I BETTER SEE EVERYONE THERE TONIGHT OR THERE WILL BE... I dunno!!! C YA there!!!!
