fucking awesome. way better than i expected, they changed their set a little mroe than i had anticipated, but even if it was the same exact set from coachella, it was amazing. the light show, the sound, the music, just incredible. seeing the suits light up was cool too! http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b9...Photo-0315.jpg the best part was hanging out here :: http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b9...Photo-0318.jpg i feel like such a fan boy  they were really nice, shy, but very nice. what a fucking kick ass night! |

YOU WERE THERE?!?! HOW DID I NOT SEE YOU? I was there with Hipp-e. The show was retarded man!!!! That thing with the glow sticks was a bad idea though. (everyone was throwing their glowsticks at the pyramid...a few of them actually landed inside while they were playing...which i thought was pretty rude) but yes it was super rad. Yes though the boys are very shy. amazing show

The question still remains tho. Why no Dallas show? I still find it hard to believe that Dallas/Ftw doesn't have enough of a fan base to warrant a show here. Maybe someday I guess. Daft less in Dallas =( MJ

those white triangle lights around the pyramid were amazing!! they arent even really lights are they,,,they're like projectors or fiber optics or something. whatever they are, they're insane. whoever their stage art director is deserves a hug. it was like a rollerskating rink on mars...in the 80's....but with modern technology....trying to look retro...while being advanced  i liked the way the video screen used all those old 80's style video wipes and image meshing...it amused me

My God, they were truly amazing at the venue. Sebastian & Kavinsky kicked major ass with two sets they played while the Rapture played in between. I figured the Rapture were crap but they were pretty decent so it wasn't as bad as I originally thought. Sebastian & Kevinsky played some dope tracks in their set, such as their mix of RATM's Killing in the Name of and the MSTRKRFT mix of Justice's D.A.N.C.E. But Daft Punk themselves literally took the show by storm when the words "roooooboooottttt" uttered in pitch dark, until the insane lighting came into play from the amazing pyramid structure that was built for their platform. I don't have any vids and pics yet (friends took plenty and they're at the airport currently) so when I get them I will definitely post them here. Those who haven't seen Daft Punk, make sure you catch their later dates by any means necessary. Red Rocks is of course the most amazing venue known to man. |
