Much fun.

I totally forgot how fun it was to do that. I went there today after the pool party (and working on my tan).

I started off on 'blades and hate the stopper on the back (the pair that I own I took it off some time ago) and after seeing people getting crunk with the ol' 2 side by sides, I swapped out.

I can still skate backwards like a pro, but my hops and turns suck.

First karaoke, now this. I'm going to be sending out messages to a few folks for interest in the karaoke thing and will check with the establishment this week for prices. If I get enough responses, I'll line it up and collect monies for the event.

If not that, then an impromptu night out at the roller rink would do just as well. I went skating with 4 beers in me and never made an ass out of myself. Hopefully a gathering of us could enjoy the time and not end up slaying the children at the rink or totally blowing the fucker up.

I usually go there friday and saturday nights to practice with my friends. If you see people skating in the middle doing that roll bounce thing that's them. We are cool with the owners and can give a group discount to those that wanna go there.

It was my first job. I worked there for 5 years and it was how I was introduced to EDM.

I used to love skating when I was a kid. I tried again about 10 years ago and could barely skate 10 feet without grabbing onto the side. Now my cousin is in roller derby. I really need to go watch her one night.

i go there from time to time also. i custom built a pair of speed quads and i like to get the wheels rolling every so often.

Very nice. Is it still a $200 investment to get your own setup (hyperbearings, skates, and other accessories)? That was why I went the fruit boot route because it was cheap manufacturing and easier downhill speed (not Quiksilver).

$200? i wish i only had to spend $200. my skates cost me about $700 after all was said and done.

you can get a really solid speed skate for 300-400.

the rb marathon carbon is pretty sweet. not custom... but about as nice as most casual skaters need.
