Meat Katie

Man, what a set!
Damn good stuff.
I wish I knew what some of that stuff was, espceially the 4/4 track in about the middle of his set.
I would really like to see him at a party with a different crowd and vibe.
Perhaps we will just have to bring him over here at some point!
One hell of a producer and it is so rare that a producer at that level also has skills like that on the decks as well.
Thanks Merritt!!

Yeah his set was badass.
I'm always down for breaks, and he was really cool too, offered to put me on the guestlist for his parties in the UK next time I'm over there.

I also used to goto "The Church" which is gothic night @ LL on Thursdays and Sundays. There was a hell of a lot of gothic people there to see Meat Katie.......... didn't like that fact....... but oh well.

it was awesome!

Mark (Meat Katie) really impressed me that night as well. He's a phenominal dj & producer! it was really cool watching the crowd that night. He started a lot deeper than the LL is know for and started losing them a little (not me.. i like the deep shit) then started winning them over and had them completely screaming the rest of his set. It was a great night! good seeing you & your wife (and shelly) out saturday! after LL we went out to "the hangar" for a little after party. I was spent for work on sunday.

huh?

I must have missed out on saturday or something. I really respect all of Meat Katie's productions, but i was underwhelmed by the mixing i heard on the radio. some of the tracks weren't even beatmatched. Besides that, the tracks were fuckin banging. I think MK should have just given the records to Merritt and let him take over!!

I had a good time at Meat Katie, but wasn't fully into it.

I was hoping he'd be on more of a solid hard breakbeat tip for the majority of the evening, but I do understand that you're supposed to play for the crowd when spinning out.

in all, it was a good time. considering it only cost me $5, it was an even better time. =)
