Dropshop Special @ Zubar

Thanks to those that stepped out last night to hear something a little different from the norm. A lot of classic cuts, some ohs and ahs, and the introduction of the newest DJ pose (created in order to honor the great Stevie Wonder), the "wait a minute".

(those at the concert understand and those from last night recognize the pose, LOL)

A couple of technical difficulties and the fear removed of being able to turn the volume ALL the way up and the party was underway.

Again my thanks to those that stepped out (Ave C Posse and some of the Got House? family, along with a few others) and your normal hosts, Brad and Adam. It was both a pleasure and a treat to play classics on a club system rather than just in the comfort of my living room.

We party again this way soon!

- Rufus P. Funk

Yeah. I missed Rufus' set by about 10 minutes, but the stuff Pickle played the rest of the night told me that Rufus set it straight with the Funk. Great Funk tunes all night long. They should do that format every Thursday.

Now, my disappointment...

HOW the HELL can two audio guys like Molecule and Pickle, invite Rufus to play... AND NOT RECORD HIS FIRST DJ SET OUT???? WTF are you guys thinking?

It really needed some video for full effect. His pose was classic.......it always meant we were about to hear 10 seconds of snap/crackle/pop and then intro to the track......

That's the kind of shit I like to hear. And what a keepsake for him to cherish. I wish I had MY first DJ set out.

It would've been cool, Mike, but it's okay. I know what they are working with (and what buttons to not hit this time, lol) and can try to wow next time. I didn't even bring out the big guns this time.

You and the missus come make rave with us next time. Love to have ya.
