I had a great time, thanks to Uhm and Pibb for letting me be part of the show, it was a nice change for me to be on the "I'm just a DJ tonight" end of things instead of playing the "promoter, organizer, sound guy, *and* DJ" roles. ![]() Although, I did play Mr. Fixit and fixed Marys headphones, she totally owes me now....lol. ![]() Good turnout, everyone seemed to be having a great time despite the f-u-c-k-i-n-g cold ass weather. The decor in the shell for the main stage was cool, very simple idea, but it added a lot of atmosphere. Looks like a lot of people brought canned goods as well, so that was good too. All around a good show, glad I was involved with it.

Awesome to see that it went off well!!!!! I'd love to see pics of any of the deco. I had wanted to go, and had every intention of being there.... But apparently while I was at KNON the night before, my kitty passed away. He'd been having one health problem after another for the past year after 12 very happy and healthy years, so I guess it was time.*** Wasn't feeling so up to revelry after that, though. Sorry to those who were expecting me. Pibb, I'll have to figure out another way to get your cable back to you. Its safely stored in my KNON cables bag until then. Next time..... ![]() *** PS: Special thanks to Ezra Davis from Songs of Inspiration, the gospel show that follows Rocket Radio. He's a vet tech by day, and hooked me up with vet care that I could afford for Freude's last few months. Ear mites, a hematoma, kidney problems, an ear infection followed by another hematoma.. Poor guy.

I am sorry about your Cat. I did some Spca volunter stuff a while back and it is sad to see people who can't afford health care for their animals have to put them down. My nurse at the hospital in the childrens Cancer ward last month had a visit from her vet letting her know about her Kitties passing. It was sad. Sometime I think it is more of a tear jerker when a pet dies. They never really ever hurt us and are alway there when we need a friend. Some how when people die we can in the back of our evil minds construct something that makes it somewhat Ok! I think I was more upset about my Ferret 15 years ago and my Cat 20 years ago dying than I was for my Grandparents. \ Sorry for your pain! |

Hadnt had that much fun at life in a while. Thanx for the hard effort and planning that yall put into the party everyone seemed to be having a blast aside from a little drama towards the end. Lots of old faces that I hadnt seen in a while ![]() Never realy liked psy-trance to much but after hearing it on a loud system like that for my first time, I have to say it kinda grew on me. Everybodys set was on point. Gotta say the warehouse was were I probably spent most of my time cause it was much warmer and the sound was bumbing in there pretty hard. Throughly enjoyed DY DREW, MxMind, SnoWhite, and Yonnykid's sets. Thanx again guys, cant wait till next time

He slipped out and into my neighbor's backyard as I was leaving for KNON. I couldn't get to him, and he was too excited about a few minutes to jaunt around outside to come when I called him. My guy was already in bed, and I went back in and ask him to let the cat in, but he wound up unintentionally passing out for the night. It dropped into the 30s and poured that night. By the time I got home from the radio station, he had passed away from hypothermia. There were little muddy pawprints on my front door, and the doors of two of my neighbors that had been friendly to him (He had this habit of just casually walking into anyone's home or apartment if the door was open, and he always knew which of my neighbors would feed or love on him)I feel like a horrible kitty mom, and I have to keep reminding myself that there was nothing I more could have reasonably done. I couldn't exactly go knocking on my neighbor's door at 11:30 at night to ask for access to their back yard. A few months ago, my guy's cat had gone missing for 2 days. He finally found him stuck underneath that same neighbor's house. She wasn't home, so he just started unscrewing the vents around the base of her house to let his cat out. She came home and caught him trying to get in underneath her house thus thwarting all good kitty karma from that particular neighbor. My guy felt really REALLY horrible. I had to give a lot of consolation that I don't blame him for what happened. I've only had two cats my entire life. The first I left with my parents when I left home, and she passed away 5 years later. That was a lot easier to take. Earlier this year, I was long term cat sitting my exboyfriend's outdoor cat until my ex could stabilize (his still unstabile) living situation. He'd been an outdoor cat for the better part of his life (born feral, and resisted house training). He got hit by the head of the neighborhood association in the parking lot last July. That was a lot easier to take, too.

awesome night of dancing w/all the dressed up ladies... even the ones wearing SHEER PANTIES!! poor girls. any how... the dnb room was fun, disappointed that it wasn't more rowdy. but nc17 fucked it up! it was so packed in that room... actually it was freaking so packed all over. glad to see lots of folks dressed up in their santa & holiday outfits ![]() really great vibe on the psy dance floor. excellent hot coco to sip on after it all. i'm getting a massage after work today b/c i'm still so freaking sore. oh yeah, patrick, we went to the buddist temple when we got back. it was really cool, wished you were there. ![]() *quote of the night* i'm driving back my younger brother to my apt at 5 am & he says, "I still hear the music. Is that why it's psychedelic?"

That was a great night, Dstar made the night for us. Cool guy all around, and he put together one of the most fun DnB sets I have heard in ages. I could have done without all the E-tards roaming through the room like lost sheep bumping into me and trying to make it all better by offering me assorted blinking and glowing gadgets......but at the same time it was kinda fun to see real E-tard ravers out in the wild again and it added to the overall atmosphere in the place. The GOA area was fucking awesome, the deco/sound/vibe was impressive for being 30* outside. It was a little to cold for me to stand for to much of a time, but it looked like everyone that was dancing was doing just fine. I also missed out on the locals warehouse, just never made it across the lot, the sounds of Dstar and NC17 kept calling me back inside all night. Overall this was the best time I have had out since Southern Junction. Cant wait to see what the Atrium Obscurum crew does next.
