What a badass night!

This one was WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better than the last one and even it was fun. There were a good amount of people in this 3 story loft that were all there for the same reason....to GET DOWN!

Im gonna have to say that I dont regret going to work after being up all night one bit! I would totally do it all over again and most likely will when this event comes back around next month

word.. now that I've had some time to recover and let my brain return to semi-functioning levels I figure I can write a lil better review

I really dig the house-party setup over being at the club... It's a nice change of pace for someone [like me] who hasn't gotten a chance to experience very many house parties. In all honesty, having lived in a town of 100,000 ppl in iowa no more than 2 years ago, this felt very much out of the movie "Groove" for me ...

those were some badass lil speakers along with a BANGING sub... the sound was fucking crisp and sexed my ears proper. At one point in the night before mike's set the highs began bleeding badly, but I think the issue was taken care of promptly.

mike's set...

man... he can stack 'em. Honestly, order yourself a lil mike d breakfast hot-stack if you're looking to satisfy that morning craving. The programming was just so fucking perfect. It seemed like he'd put together about 4 tracks for the purpose of a build alone before dropping the "creme-le-crop" per se... and let me tell you when it dropped it felt like hiroshima AND nagasaki out on the floor. mmh

something that stood out for me was that at some point in his set he had an "interlude" for lack of a better word. We're grooving to some dark banging beats and out of no where comes this beautiful, epic, and moody track ... hosting some sort of vocal from what seemed like a progresisve-rock song... fuckin A I need this IDed.

and back at it again.

the set's track selection overall was phenomenal. He teased us at the end be throwing in some of the stuff from the preview he put out for the first LN ... la dai la dai la dai.... la dai la dai la dai.... .... but all the way through out he played tug of war building the tension and releasing it at will.

I concur with the comments of the preceeding catz, this night was the shizzy. Aside from some personal drama, it was an amazing night. You couldn't ask for a better spot, class act djs, and a true crowd of music enthusiasts. Keep bringing em Mike and we will keep coming. Funky fresh, and a true return to the underground. Big ups to all who threw down, sorry Mr. Warren I couldn't catch you set, heard it rocked though, and to Fabian and Mike, lets just say they put some whip cream on my ass and went to work.
