I got there just in time to hear Sober's set. there was a great crowd and the vibe was nice. it was my first time to the loft and it was ok. Nothing out of the ordinary, but a very nice venue for this type of event, huge dancefloor, easily accessable bars and the sound, well the sound could have been better, but it was only noticible on the huge bass hits after silence. Beer prices were average at $4.50 for my Dos Equis but for an 18+ show i expected that.
Blaqstarr threw down some dope ass Bmore club the entire set. had me jamming. He played alot of his own stuff and some of the well known ones as well. This was my first time hearing Bmore in Dallas so i was curious to see how the crowd got down to it. The only exposure i had to "club" music was actually in Baltimore. But people here really seem to dig it. I think its the Hip hop sound, and catchy repettitiveness that makes it not seem to far from hip hop, and the breakbeat/funky drums and 125-140 bpm dance music feel that grabs me but i`m really starting to feel this music. but yeah the Locals were getting down most of the time.
Rye Rye came up and did, if i remember right, 4-5 songs and killed it. The space she had was limited so i didn`t get to see her "Shake - it - to the ground" like i was hoping, but she looked sexy neways
I think Nature got on right around 1:45 and droped a few hot ones before getting cut off by the sound guy @ about 2:05am
Booooooooo
j/k
i guess they had some issues but i had a great time. i will def be making these shows more often. The Party def knows how to jam so i will be seeing those guys alot more often i think. Great job
